  1. Hey Kim - didn’t that happen before right after you moved in? No ice that time either as I recall
  2. Bummer! I have a generator you could try and get running if you can make it over to NE. Last time I tried it I failed though so might not work at the moment. I do have power but only have my display up so don’t think that work work to host visitors. Tangs would probably tear each other up 😞
  3. Sweet! I will have to hit you up one of these days when I get tired of the scratches in my glass tank πŸ˜„
  4. Not convenient for you Bill but I use Homebrewers Exchange on N. Interstate (right near the Rosa Parks Frwy exit). $16 for 5 lbs but are open Sat and Sun which is the only time I can usually get out so worth it for me.
  5. Guessing you won't have sand - or at least not for long πŸ˜„
  6. Interesting! Well glad to hear you are able to propagate it. Picked up a pink boobies from Jim at his sale and would like to get some more back in the tank now that (fingers crossed) it seems to support life again.
  7. Yeah - would have definitely been interested but should have let you know - my bad. I tried some a while back when Christian organized a group buy and used those in my overflows where I had a problem. Cleared out one of them but the other didn't - probably had to do with how many survived and for how long (they were a little beat up by the time I got them home and released them). Fixed that problem by covering the overflows but still have a couple of survivors in the main tank that irritate me no end.
  8. Cool piece! Where did you get that one?
  9. How many did you get? I'm thinking about trying it again in the tank as I have a few aptasia that have been resistant to other methods and I'm tired of them.
  10. Well, you could send them my way if you can catch them πŸ˜„
  11. That is a good price - especially if one went in on a batch of 50 ($3.40 each).
  12. Missed this thread the first time around - will need to go back and read from the start but glad to see a detailed review and long term test of the ReefBot for comparison. Love the flexibility you get with this which is an attraction if you aren't already tied to Apex.
  13. Looking good Andrew! I had forgotten you were Apex-free before - that will keep you busy for a while dialing that in.

Good to hear you are still in the game! Say hi to Robyn for all us "old timers" πŸ˜„
  15. I would think that @TheClark and @danlu_gt might have some experience with this question.
  16. This is an interesting observation. I tend to favor a "dense" aquascape myself and have an uncovered tank. Definitely have lost some fish but tend to be the smaller "jumpers" that you would expect to try their "luck" at some point. I just am partial to the look despite the husbandry challenges and current preferences for the more "open" design. Probably a good thing since I tend to also like to keep a significant fish population.
  17. This is a really interesting article - cool that they are using a combination of sexual and asexual propagation. Definitely a recommended read!
  18. Wow - sorry to see that David. You have had some pretty bad luck with jumpers lately for a covered tank. Hope the changes keep everyone else safe.
  19. Would make a really nice turn key setup for someone with a little clean up!
