  1. Don't worry, this vulture is considering it... need to get down to the basement and measure that frag/QT tank I rescued from work. Can't remember how long it is. Seriously though - a very generous offer by Kim and what should be an easy fix! Would be nice if it went to someone trying to get their first tank together
  2. Looking good! Congrats on the new coral... so hard to resist the SPS and what I have seen of the wwc stuff looks really tempting. Hope it does well for you.
  3. That clown and anemone combo is awesome. The mostly white clowns are definitely a cool look.
  4. This sounds highly likely. Hopefully there is an override somewhere to accommodate the external hosting option.
  5. Good choices sir! Unfortunately dropped my tank money on fish earlier today or would have gone for those myself. Oh well - we now have a cool marine betta instead ?
  6. Thanks Miles but don't worry about it right now. Still trying to get things grown out to the point of being fraggable (if that is a word). Maybe I can hit you up when I actually have something I can trade. (Fingers crossed). I do have a really nice piece of Tierra del Fuego - I'm sure Brian wouldn't mind if I traded it away while I'm babysitting it (just checking to see if he's paying attention) ?
  7. Hey Miles - looks like your new frag setup is performing well! What is at the front left in that third pic?
  8. Looks good in there! Now you will have to get the cat another box ?
  9. I remember there being an issue posting pics from tap talk when we first converted as well. Hopefully Jeremy will see this and can add some insight.
  10. Agreed - Terry is very friendly and helpful and has learned a lot since he and Woody's daughter took over. Really glad to have it up and running since it is the only store in inner NE PDX still up and running (since C&C moved westside). BTW - the link was "in disguise" as the thread title... kind of slick actually.
  11. It is an optional field in the member profile and some folk (like yourself) do populate it but it isn't consistent or always very specific. You can also chose to just have it visible in your full profile view or also have it show on your posts (like yours). Not sure everyone knows it's there so this idea does make quite a bit of sense given the number of times I see it asked.
  12. Nice! Great way to add some biodiversity to a tank - even if you just picked up a couple of pieces to supplement a bigger build. I like the combination of hand/tang cleaning.
  13. Yep - there have been some promising looking SPS colonies there lately including a nice gold tipped green milli I have been eyeing. Probably in your tank right now! Glad to hear they have clams again. Had some really nice ones reasonably priced a while back but the tank was too new.
  14. Did someone say monti? Wonder how fast I can get over there... What kind we talking about here Jorge? Not that I would swipe it from you for reals...
  15. Purple tangs!!!! Did I mention I like those?
  16. Hey Bert - I still don't have anything mature enough to frag for trade but would love to have pieces of the twilight and the microclados if you are willing to take some cash instead. No worries if not - one of these days I will actually have something that needs trimming! Of course, you will probably have it already ?
  17. Congrats - have fun setting it up. PS - the cat just wants the box... it is the way of the cat ?
  18. Great to have kids interested in attending to help carry the torch. Be prepared to come home with a sea dragon though - I can't imagine a kid (or adult really) who won't want one of those!
  19. I started to post the response below but then decided it was just too mean Hope someone snags this soon before it gets torn apart and drilled. So... what you are saying is stand, lights, tank and all equipment for $350 right?
  20. Haha! I'm not sure that being in the Caribbean that weekend qualifies as a bummer but I get what you mean... Enjoy your trip!
  21. Sorry to hear that. I try to only purchase fish that I can see eat at the shop to reduce the risk but that isn't always possible. Even then, the extra move into another tank or QT can put them over the edge so it's always a possibility to get one that ultimately won't take food. Hopefully you get a more cooperative one next go around. Fortunately, they are relatively common at the LFS so you should have a good chance to score a healthy one soon.
  22. Looking forward to it! I think the weedy sea dragons are going to be real popular in our household. (looking around to see where we could possibly fit a specimen tank )
  23. Looking good! Don't worry, that six line will be out bossing the tank around in no time... it's what they do best ?
