I love that dude named Herbie! I have spent the last couple days converting my plumbing from the crappy DSA Durso junk over. It's so quite I can hear my skimmer hum in every room of the house now, but that's another subject.

Kicking myself in the butt now, I should have picked up one of those bags of coral pro when I was there. That is a great deal.

I know this is not tank related but it is fish related. I'm looking for a 3.5 to 5hp short shaft outboard with a integrated fuel tank. I have a budget of $500.00 to spend. if someone has something sitting around not used or my know someone that does let me know. I also have a 40lb thrust Minn Kota that I would part trade money from me and motor or will sell out right for $100.00 Dave

Because your setups in a 5th wheel I wouldn't cheep out on a heater. I know first hand how cold an rv gets in the early spring late fall and winter months. I would also consider a heater controller, Heaters don't always fail in the off setting. Right now I'm not using a heater at all. but I also have central HVAC that keeps the house at 72. That along with the normal power heads,skimmer pump and return pumps keep my tank at a stable 76ish.

Well, my wrasse didn't make it I guess because I can't find him. He was fat, happy and eating after the 2nd dose and two 10% water changes. Get back from camping for 3 days and he's MIA! Everything else in the tank is doing just fine. My current luck with fish is not good.

Your choice of a white stand and accessories is spot on for the rest of your decor. Black would have looked way out of place in that room. After seeing that picture I've got some redecorating to do!

Wow! That's quite a bit of weight for a slide out, I hope you put jack stands under it. Is that a Montana? The cabinets look just like my in laws Montana.

Man your plumbing kit is way better the what I got. I'm also going to be redoing my plumbing when I get back from vacation. They wouldn't trade the skimmer back for the correct one?

Egg laying is why I was asking. I read that it takes one week for them to hatch. So I was thinking of performing a 20% water change then hitting them with one more dose before I leave and then one last water changer a day or two before I leave. Luckily I only have 3 small fish and close to 90 gallons of water to work with. So not having the skimmer has not impacted water quality yet.

So after the clownfish debacle and a couple of them died. I took the last remaining one back to the place where I got it and they refunded my money. I decided at that point I was not going to buy anymore fish until I get back from vacation. Also put another fish in my tank with out some sort of quarantining. Well last Friday I noticed my wrasse was in bed way early, Then Saturday he got up way late? I started watching him real close. He would shake his head violently and bump the rocks with his gill plates. Those [language filter] clownfish had flukes!!! He would swim with them a lot and poke around in their corner when they were still there. So I did a bunch of Googling and decided on Prazipro. So I dosed the tank up last Saturday mid afternoon. Well, everything seams fine and nothing's dead also the wrasse is back to his normal self. I think disaster is close to being over. But I have a couple questions. 1. Should I do another dose? Instructions say only one dose should be necessary but can do another after 3 days. 2. Or should I just finish out the last dose to the recommended 5-7 days and throw carbon and my skimmer back in? Both have been out of the system since last Saturday. As per instructions on the bottle I'm leaving on vacation August 2nd and won't be back until the 8th. I have already planed on a larger water change before I leave. I just want to make sure this is all over with by the time I leave.

I have two pics today. We thought it would be funny to throw this she'll in the tank to see if anyone would like to upgrade. Bob took the bate. Although I have had to unstick him a couple times today. I also caught a runner today. He almost got away!

I'm assuming the tank is drilled one 1" drain and one 3/4" return. There web site says it can be plumbed as a herbbie drain or durso. How can that happen with one drain?
