I hear ya Andy.. I remember back in the day when one would buy live, live rock and it would come with all sorts of stuff. Stomatellas,key hole limpeds, clams and sponges. My tank before I got out of the hobby had so many micro bristle stars and bristle worms and so much life it was crazy. Now I get back into the hobby everyone is into seeding dry rock?

Well, since I am still waiting on my tank and stand. I started building my light fixture to hold my Reefcorner CR180. This is how it turned out so far. It is drilled in a few places so the cord will run inside the tube. This tube will be mounted inside another and drilled every inch for adjusting up and down. Whenever I get my tank I plan on a build thread so stay tuned. Dave

Went to pick up the mag 7 from I ordered from OIAB. Ended up also scoring what I feel was a great deal on used Bubble Magus C5.5. looks to have very little use and it had a brand new pump. At this point all I think I'm lacking is the tank and stand to start setting up.

Yes I use to live in Boring. I got the screen name from another board where two Daves were distinguished by location. I was Boring and the other was Hillsboro. So we just changed to those for convince.

It's so amazing to me how the technology has grown. When I was last in this hobby I thought the zoomed power heads were the bomb! Something like this is now on my list to buy. This looks so mutch better then the big mounting legs and suction cups of yesteryear.

Names Dave, BoringDave. Use to have a screen name here but forgot it and my password. I made this one several years back when I had to give away my last nano during and emergency. Now my life has stabilized enough to get back into things. I see things have changed a bit. I'm currently collecting parts for my next build. So far I have ordered or obtained. On order 1. DSA Neo 65 pro with cherry stand and plumbing kit from Cuttlefish and coral. Great place great service 2. Mag 7 from Ocean in a box. Also a great place to shop. Things I have. Reef corner CR180p LED from upscale's once again great service. Eshopps RS-75 from a craigslist deal come to find out he's a member here. Was a great deal and even met me half way without even asking. I still have a bunch of things to obtain before lift off. I will be purchasing it from the now big three. I have vowed not to buy a single item off the internet if at all possible. Dave

This makes me feel better. I made a impuls buy and was starting to have buyers remorse. I was on here looking at the three sponsor adds and the CR180d jumped out to me. I liked it most because it was basically designed for a 36" tank. So I drove over to upscale's and checked them out. They did have one of the smaller lights on a tank. The sales guy "Tom I think" recommend one of the smaller lights for what I plan to do fowlr. But I decied I better go whole hog if I'm doing this and had him order me the CR180p. Not only did he order it the owner of Reef corner drove over and delivered it to me on a Sunday. Great service from both parties! I am now fabricating a mount that will attach to the back of the aquarium stand.

Subscribed! My build is going to be very similar. Correct me if I'm wrong but is that sump a eshopps RS-75? i don't see it mentioned in the equipment list.
