  1. We’re at the meeting, and on the zoom call. Come join us!
  2. Salty Underground replied, they are still building up their stock and not willing to grow the order size at $8.50/berghia. To get that price, we would have had to order in increments of 50. Order Placed for 50 berghia, requested Weds 10/27 delivery date. Chronologically Ordered: @obrien.david.j 20 berghia (lowering to 15 berghia) @Bicyclebill 10 berghia @Shar_Zard 5 berghia @ocboat 10 berghia @pdxmonkeyboy 10 berghia @CB92 5 berghia <-- Sorry, doesn't look like you're in. If they overship Berghia or something changes, I'll contact you. Will update next week, likely as PM's.
  3. I'm likely placing an order, Today, for a bulk batch. If you can contact me immediately, I'll see if I can increase the order size. We're over 50 now, so they'd be $8.50each. No commit, just willing to see if I can increase the order.
  4. We're up to 60 Berghia, I've got an inquiry into Salty Underground for a price for this bulk size. (website has 50 1/4" berghia for $425 - ala $8.50/ea, shipping included) @obrien.david.j 20 berghia @Bicyclebill 10 berghia @Shar_Zard 5 berghia @ocboat 10 berghia @pdxmonkeyboy 10 berghia @CB92 5 berghia If anyone needs to back out, no worries. Shoot me a note. Otherwise, I'll place the order when I hear from the store and contact each of you when they arrive. (likely next week) PNWMAS is a stand up group of people, thanks for doing this!
  5. YOU must have Huge Aptasia, if they shoved off piles of Faptasia. Or, you have my problem - not all of them are on flat/easy to cover surfaces. In my tank, those have gotten big - and are likely the source of now Mass propogation. Berghia to the rescue! We're up to 35 Berghia so far. At 15 more we're a go for the cheapest "50 berghia" order. I'm ready to place the order tomorrow, will even increase my personal order to 20 if it helps. @obrien.david.j 20 berghia @Bicyclebill 10 berghia @ocboat 10 berghia @Shar_Zard - if you're in for 10, we can run with this.
  6. I like Frank's F-Aptasia the best of all the manual chemicals. Have three bottles of it... And I just can't keep up. I find this stuff works for 1-3 aptasia. And I've let it get way out of hand (again). Sounds like there's some pent up Berghia Demand out there. Glad to hear it. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/f-aiptasia-pest-anemone-treatment-frank-s-aquarium-products.html
  7. I'll admit it... I haven't been able to keep up with my Aptasia problem... And I now have enough that I need Berghia to get rid of them. I'd love to find them locally, haven't found them. (contact me if you've got them) On-Line, they're cheaper if you buy them in bulk. SaltyUnderground has them for $10/ea or $8.50/ea, when buying in quantities of 25 or 50. (shipping included) Anyone want to split an order? I need no less than ~15. If no one joins me, I'll likely buy the bulk 25 pack. I'd rather split the 50 pack with a person or three. (I'm located in Cedar Mill, Just north of Beaverton - factor travel time into your decision.)
  8. I have two DOS's, and connect them daisy chained.
  9. make sure you're using the Filtered water (not the waste water) - and Yes, you're done. For water changes, add salt. For topping off evaporation, use straight RO water. No Salt. (It may be obvious to some of us, but I once helped someone setup a tank - and they thought all water added to the tank had to be salt water. Even replacement water from evaporation. Yes, they killed their first tank full of livestock. So I spell it out now.)
  10. Thanks for asking. I got a Bio test last summer, and I'll work up a side by side compare and post a little later. BUT... I then upgraded the whole display setup, new dry rock new dry sand, but was still connected to frag tanks with original rock in it. Since have fought multiple rounds of uglies/etc... I suspect my bio has done a big shift again.
  11. The only way I could ever remove mushrooms was to fully remove & replace a whole rock. This morning, this posting suggested it may work for mushrooms too. Maybe try it. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/safe-and-easy-diy-way-to-remove-nems.861213/

    More sticks!

I can attest. @J-Dog's stuff looks as good in person, as in the photos.
  13. Looking forward to it. Thanks for setting this up.
  14. I had the same thought, zip ties. If I have a repeat I may try it. Caveat, oh baby it's tight in there. I worry I could unseat stable hoses in the attempt. We'll see what the future holds

  16. Great feedback. Hadn't thought of it this way. Fix was easy. Take off cover, put hose back on, put cover back on. No blood, no foul.
  17. Got "Test A Fail" this weekend on my Trident. I was kind of low (but not out) of reagent A, replaced it. No Luck. Opened Trident and ... Looks like top hose came off the center hub. Took trident apart, broke rubber foot off housing screw, but got cover off and everything fixed. I haven't touched my trident in a month, so strange the hose came off. But so-be-it. Fixed. First problem I've had in ~2years. (I still love getting daily test results from my trident!) The Dreaded Something Failed indicator: Top hose is off! Fixing required taking the cover off. The slight fluid leak caused one rubber foot/screw to seize up. Had to rip the rubber off the screw to enable getting a screw driver on it.
  18. Okay - I'll fess up. I didn't know what Uronema Marinum was. So I googled it. https://humble.fish/uronema/ Some quotes; These are the red sores most often seen on chromis damsels; however it can afflict any fish. There is no fallow period for Uronema. Once a tank has Uronema, it must be assumed that the disease can survive in there almost indefinitely. [treatment] has a slight chance of working because usually by the time you see the red sores on the fish it’s too little, too late. 😞 I personally just euthanize the fish to prevent the disease from spreading. Is it really this bad?
  19. I've got 3/4", 1", and larger. But nothing 1/2". sorry.
  20. Let's bound this. External measurements: 349 gallons. (112" * 24" * 30" ) / 231 cubic inches per gallon = 349 gallons Internal measurements, if all sides are 1" and tank is filled 100% up (no air gap at top) 293 gallons. (110" * 22" * 28" ) / 231 cubic inches per gallon = 293 gallons Thus, somewhere in this range, under these assumptions. But the more important question, Why Didn't you Make it Bigger? 36" front to back would have been cool.
  21. I came up with 349 gallons. (112" * 24" * 30" ) / 231 cubic inches per gallon = 349 gallons
  22. Wasn't this supposed to go into the (now paused) new addition to your house. Does this mean the other bay of your garage is where you're installing a new 300gallon tank?
