  1. I love my kole tang. He suffered HLLE the first month I had him, but he’s recovered nicely with just a bit of scarring. Super peaceful, graceful, and majestic. What’s your current favorite?
  2. If you click the menu at the upper right, then select Store...Orders...it displays your order history. I found that my only order was in August 2018, so I am overdue. Is there any mechanism for renewal reminders?
  3. FYI — I just dropped my latest sample in the mail today for Eli’s analysis. Looking forward to the next round of testing.
  4. Since we've had some new members join the group recently, I wanted to point out our Member Map feature again. We currently have 50 members and 25 businesses listed on our map, which makes it more convenient when coordinating with Classifieds or just finding shops you haven't been to yet. Please feel free to add yourself to the map here: http://www.pnwmas.org/membermap/ You can be as specific or generic as you choose when listing your location. For example, you can list your full street address, or you can just list the city. Happy reefing!
  5. I received a promo code for a $25 discount at Shutterfly, or for a free 8"x8" photo book. The code is good through August 1, 2020. I have no need for it, so I'll give the code away to the first person to respond to this post.
  6. Happy birthday Holly, from me and a couple dozen corals in my tank that came from you!
  7. Congrats @stylaster on your Apex raffle win yesterday! I tried sending you a PM, but it says you cannot receive messages. This typically means your inbox is full. As promised, here's a link to a recent thread at Reef2Reef about controlling a calcium reactor with the Trident: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/calcium-reactor-control-by-neptune-trident.660576/ If you have any other Apex questions, feel free to ask.
  8. It’s so great to see kids interested in something besides video games! Nice meeting you, and looking forward to seeing you and your family at future meetings.
  9. Thanks to all who attended the meeting! There were so many great prizes: The white elephant gift exchange was a lot of fun too: Happy Holidays to all!
  10. This is a cool video and article: https://www.wired.com/story/when-a-mantis-shrimp-fights-a-disco-clam/amp
  11. I just ran across this idea on another thread and thought I'd share it here. What a great idea!
  12. With the long lines, you might miss the party all together! 🤣
  13. Last month my BTA moved after nearly a year at the top of my rock work down towards the bottom. Now it’s on the move again but this time it’s heading towards a heavily populated coral area. I’ll need to check again in the morning to see where it ends up. 5pm: 8pm: the clowns are just following along for the ride.
  14. They have the 75 gallon tank listed for $129 right now! See https://www.ntotank.com/75gallon-norwesco-white-vertical-storage-tank-x9749447 You would pick them up in Washougal, which is about a 30 minute drive from Green Concepts, but save you $82 on 2 tanks.
  15. Mindstream isn’t just sold out. The company went out of business last week. Good thing you didn’t go that route! See https://reefbuilders.com/2019/12/10/step-ahead-innovations/
  16. So you made up your mind? I believe you were debating over Alkatronic, Mindstream, and others a while back, correct?
  17. I had to look it up. Beautiful fish, but the fact sheet seems ominous: Care Facts Size : .75-1.25 inches Care Level : Expert Temperament : Peaceful Diet: Omnivore Origin: Indo Pacific Acclimation Time: 3+ Hours Reef Safe: No Coral Safe : No Invertebrate Safe : No Minimum Tank Size : 150+ Gallons
  18. That's exactly what I was thinking! Watch out for a new signup by "RuncrestSeef". 🤣
  19. Are those real taxidermy, or very detailed fakes?
  20. I've noticed a couple of larger prominent aiptasia have disappeared recently, so I know they're active. Haven't seen them once since adding though.
  21. Uwajimaya in Beaverton has a great seafood counter with several varieties of clams, mussels, live crabs, etc. Also most New Seasons and Market of Choice have clams.
  22. I can't remember the exact price, but I think they were about $150 each.
