I bought my 75 gallon water storage tanks at that place in Gresham. They have an amazing selection, every imaginable size and shape of containers.

I just tried to send you a PM to coordinate, but it says you cannot receive messages. Any idea why??? -

I'd be interested in a frag, if it's available in the next week before I leave town for the holidays. I'm in Beaverton and could make the trip down to Salem during the day if that works. -
Last night was our annual white elephant xmas gift exchange party. This party has grown over the past 10 years and we had over 50 guests at our house last night. This was the first big party since setting up the aquarium, and I figured it would be a big hit for entertaining kids, but it turned out to be an even bigger hit with the adults! I ended up giving four separate tours of the tank, sump, and garage mixing station to groups of interested guests. Everyone was amazed and I got tons of compliments. Makes all the planning, work, and care worth it!

7th Annual Anniversary Sale!
SuncrestReef replied to CuttleFishandCoral's topic in Cuttle Fish And Corals
That's exactly what I keep thinking...My tank is "full" and I really don't need to add anything, then I see these photos and think "Maybe I can squeeze a few more corals here and there..." I need to start the process of convincing my wife that our Reefer XL 425 is too small! -

Yes, Apex programming can react to power consumption on any device plugged into the 120v outlets on the EB832. This feature is not available on the older power bars. If Output EB_7_SMP_FLO Watts > 5 Then OFF

I only got into reefing in early 2018, but glad I started from day 1 with an Apex. I've automated so many aspects of my tank and occasionally get alerts from Apex that I had forgotten I even set up! Here are some of the things it alerts me on: Temperature too low or too high pH too low or too high Salinity too low or too high Skimmate locker full (and it shuts down the skimmer) Refugium too full (when its drain gets clogged) Sump water level too low or too high ATO runs longer than expected Power outage (and when the generator automatically comes on) Water leak in cabinet or under carpet Sump powerhead stalled (a cheap little powerhead to help disperse 2-part, and when it's jammed up the power consumed goes above 5 watts) Saltwater mixing station tank empty RO/DI storage tank empty or too full I love automation.

Did you contact Red Sea support? As far as I know the US Reefers ship out of Houston so you should be able to get the correct part fairly quickly.

What R U Using 4 Phosphate Removal
SuncrestReef replied to lewisriverfisherman's topic in Reef Chemistry
Combination of chaeto in refugium and GFO reactor. My fuge is small (converted the 3 gallon ATO reservoir from my Red Sea Reefer) so the chaeto alone is not enough. -

Loving my black Friday purchase from CNC

I've often thought about getting a coral beauty, but I've heard mixed reports of them feeding on corals. What's been your experience? -

December CNC SPS grow out thread.

My frag is showing good color and polyp extension every day. It seems happy in its position at the top of my rocks, about 5" below the water surface: It has only grown about 1mm in height, but it's starting to encrust over the glue: I also test my alk daily with a Hanna checker, and try to keep it at 8.6 dKH -
48" ATI SUNPOWER 8 X 54W LIGHT FIXTURE + BULBS $350
SuncrestReef replied to kilmca's topic in Classified Threads
The Reefer 450 is a 5 foot wide tank. I have the XL 425, and this conversation is about the 350, both of which are 4 foot wide tanks. The 350 and 425 are the same width, but the XL 425 is just a little bigger front to back. -

I doubt the 350 side glass is 1/2". My XL 425's front glass is 1/2", and the side is 3/8". -

SuncrestReef replied to kilmca's topic in Classified Threads
Does anyone know the side glass thickness on the 350? Red Sea doesn't appear to list side glass thickness in any of their documentation. My XL 425 side glass measures roughly 3/8". I did a Google search and it doesn't appear that seam failure is widely reported on Reefers. -

I have about 1/16" bow in the front glass on my Reefer XL 425, which is the same width as the 350. I contacted Red Sea support and they said it's normal. -
Is it wrong that I was excited to find one more aiptasia today so I had another chance to use the laser? I also found it does a great job on bubble algae. It burns the algae and boils the water surrounding it so any escaping spores are cooked. 😎

Yes, the one I got was a bit spendy, but there’s a big difference between 5mw and 4000mw. When I hit the aiptasia with this thing, they burn up fast. I plan to keep checking if they come back, but from what I’ve seen there’s nothing left of them after I zap them.
