  1. Welcome! There's plenty of sps fanatics here including myself who are more than happy to talk shop.
  2. I tried to buy one yesterday but the remaining ones couldn't be found. What a beautiful specimen! No worries on my end though, got a Mystery and White-Tail Bristletooth!
  3. I had a pink colony spawn 10-15 little tiny colonies just like that. It was definitely a head-scratcher until they got a little bigger and it became obvious.
  4. I agree it looks like a galaxea but my first thought was maybe pocillopora. I've seen them spread in that manner. Do you have a green one?
  5. So your wifes opinion is your... Achilles heel? 😂 Beautiful specimen!
  6. I have an alveopora that lives too close to a Japanese toadstool. The toadstool is always burnt on one side and leaning away. Those 'flowers' seem to pack more of a punch than my goni too!
  7. I've been wondering what that creature was since the party. It seemed like a big feather duster but after seeing some photos it was obvious there was no tube. Thanks for clearing that up!
  8. Jellyfish. I know they're going to be our marine overlords some day but for now they're still pretty and a Kreisel would be fun.
  9. I wouldn't know. I've never used a controller and don't plan to! 😎
  10. I had two chromis the first 2 years of the hobby. They were responsible for quite a few fish deaths all on their own. I was happy when they both went carpet surfing within a week of each other and things have been peaceful since!
  11. Mine is just plugged in to a regular outlet and a cheap digital timer which doesn't have any special power draw. Hopefully that helps.
  12. I'm also very excited to see how well these work!
  13. I've been really pleased with mine. Went from cleaning my skimmer 1x/week to 1x/month. I still have to dump it out here and there but the Swabbie was a hobby changing piece of gear.
  14. Good news! I would recommend a carbon reactor running at all times too.
  15. Too big for my own experience. Weren't you the one with the dual-operating pump setup? I use a large sump pump to move water from my downstairs to my upstairs during water changes but that's <10m usage windows. Did you lose a pump?
  16. I had a little alk spike this week due to a dead light that I've been lowering with a pair of extra water changes. I wanted to give it at least 24 hours before I take the sample.
  17. Preferably from orbit...
  18. So. Freaking. Awesome. Vicky and I are so excited with our new pair of Biota Mandarins. A big thank you Jeff, Kim, Sirena, Scott, Holly and everyone else that ensures we all get to have a great time. Those tacos were unbelievable. The hot salsa with the mango salsa and that corn/bean mix... Woo!
  19. In edit: didn't even make the first page using tapatalk... rad. 🤣
