What I failed to mention, as @EMeyer suggested, just dose calc to raise it to your desired value (the BRS calculator says no more than 50ppm/day increase) and let AlK drift down to where you want it. Best way to determine how much to dose is to not dose anything and measure the consumption over a 24 hour period. Then with that you can calculate how much you need to dose daily.

Basically it is the communication standard that the cable modem uses. 3.1 is the latest and probably required by the cable provider to get the higher speeds.

We had the same issue in our house. I tried Ubiquiti APs but they are wired and between the different areas of the house it was not possible to run ethernet cable to get good coverage over the whole house. Drilling glass is easy, just go real slow and let the bit do the work, don't try to muscle it. As soon as you get impatient and try to make it go faster you WILL break the glass.

Looked into this option as well when I first started dosing. I could not find it locally. Amazon has different brands but I was too skeptical of their purity claims to buy it.

You could use an RV water pump. They have a built in pressure switch that turns the pump on and off based on demand.
