  1. Yeah, the Salem Petco on Commercial has a fox face, blue tang, and yellow tang. The fox face and the yellow tang look "ok" swimming around and not totally emaciated. The blue tang on the other hand was laying on a rock with its gills going 100mph and paper thin.
  2. We use them for dog meds.
  3. Catalytic carbon filters remove both chorine and chloramine. Supposedly 99.9% effective.
  4. Several people run pre-filters (carbon, etc) and large DI canisters without running an RO unit. Rudy @ @goldenbasketreef runs his make up water that way. Here is the discussion:
  5. Not sure how got Belgium out of that.
  6. This sucks! https://www.forbes.com/sites/brianbushard/2022/12/16/video-massive-berlin-aquarium-with-1500-fish-bursts-in-hotel/?sh=10491bc549f1
  7. Looks more leafy than slimy like cyano. Maybe this stuff or something similar? https://www.reeflex.net/tiere/3525_Halymenia_floresii.htm
  8. Did you feed PE Mysis by chance?
  9. Free to anyone who wants it. Picked up. Thanks.
  10. Used 34% H2O2 as a reagent in some water chemistry tests in the Navy. A guy cut his finger and asked if he could use it. I said "yeah sure but...." Screams of pain coming from the other guy. "you need to dilute it first!"
  11. It will work as long as the frag tank is higher than the sump AND your sump can handle the extra volume if both main and frag tank return pumps are turned off.
  12. 13. Found this: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/diy-co2-degassing-chamber-for-ro-di.212587/
  14. https://www.clearviewlids.com/ are not cheap but look nice.
  15. Was in Orlando for vacation and went to the Publix in the same strip mall and saw WWC as we were pulling out. Hit the brakes and turned around only to find out they had not opened yet. Still had paper on the windows. 😞
  16. Bought this because I thought I was going to use it, but decided not to. Brand new, albeit a little dusty, in half the box . In Salem but work in Tualatin, so can meet somewhere close if required.
  17. They just block a the overflows to raise the level. The level is normally a little over an inch from the rim. I have it about half inch now to get a bit more volume and looks better to me.
  18. I designed and printed two of these little guys to raise the water level a tad in my IM 25 Lagoon. If anyone wants the STL let me know. I printed them in white PLA to test will print them in black PETG now that I know they fit.
  19. From what I can find it is 1/2" ID. Could get the 5/16" version and use some boiling water to get the tube on. It'll never come off unless you cut it off.
  20. We use these at work: https://www.amazon.com/LucaSng-Plastic-Connector-Shut-Off-Disconnect/dp/B094FHKYC9/ref=sr_1_21?keywords=plastic+tubing+quick+connect&qid=1656185489&sprefix=plastic+tubing+quick%2Caps%2C136&sr=8-21
  21. Think it is all in millimeters converted to the closest inch measurement. 0.708" is 18mm. If you get 1/8" thick it is actually 0.118" or 3mm.
  22. I have had mine for about 2 years and it seems to be working OK. I have heard of them failing after some time. I always rinse with RO and dry it good before putting it away.
