  1. So what is in the activator that we buy for $10? Why does super glue not instantly hardened when sitting still? Jurassic Park isn't real? Why am I forced to drive a car and not roll in style on the back of a triceratops? Ends up... The low ph of the glue keeps it from hardening. I bought a 6 pack of 2oz spray bottles from Amazon for 6.99. took one of the bottles and put kalk water in it. BAM!!!! Diy activator!.!.!.!.! Hope this helps someone.
  2. My new saw came in the mail today. It's the 42" aquasaw version. If your looking to cut some frags, you can stop by. We can trade use of the saw at my place for a frag cutting or two. I can help out with mounting and such. I live in Multnomah village near Cuttlefish. Send me a PM!👍
  3. I think everyone should have an inkbird as a minimum. Set your heaters and have the bird as a safety backup. Grab the version with the plastic clad temp probe. It's designed to aquarium use.
  4. I used to run one ~6 years ago. Worked well, I just felt like it was easier to pull algae out of a refugium than a reactor. I currently use a refugium and a light from Amazon "Bozily 450W Waterproof COB Led Grow Light". I also run some gfo, not much. One of my favorite setups I had was a display refugium with mangroves and a 600w halide. People would look at that more than my tank... Amazed I had trees growing off my fish tank. My skimmer didn't even work, was just for aeration.
  5. Id like to pick up at least one of everything you got once I get back in town. Monday or Tuesday cool?
  6. I have multiple in my tank, keep tabs on me. I'm be out of town for a bit.
  7. My tank is 30" deep and previously had 4 black box lights on it. Then went to 4 t5 aquarium life hybrid light on it with the eventual idea of adding LEDs. I had better polyp extension on the softies when I went to the 4 t5s from the black boxes. I added 2 hydra 32s a couple months back and it got even better. I plan on adding 2 more hydras as my corals grow. i think the 4 t5 will certainly be enough to keep them alive and achieve mild growth. Will you get explosive frag farm growth?? No, but that's not the goal. Sounds like your goal is affordable reefing. Your on track
  8. I'm nearly certain I have four uniseal and 3 bulkheads. Gimme a minute
  9. They make an aquarium version with a plastic probe. It's actually a few cents cheaper on ebay and free shipping
  10. Online sales you say?? Looking forward to it!
  11. Welcome! Light coverage on your tank looks great to me eyes.
  12. Arm and hammer from Costco, it's food grade. Stick it in the oven to make soda ash. Google 'Randys mix' for instructions on making 2/3 part
  13. That is really cool. Where did you get it?
  14. Stand to me looks like a bathroom vanity they repurposed. Like blue z said it's a simple 40 gallon breeder. Can get them for$40 when in sale.
  15. Seems like a market value deal to me. Nothing amazingly special. Possibly they'll get tired on sitting on it and do the whole setup for 500. The rock and Coral are likely worth more than the system.
  16. That's awesome. Something I always wanted to try. More pics!!
  17. Has a mag 3 pump in there and also including a couple new true union valves as back ups. Free, but if you have a couple frags... I mean 🍺 Come by my place or meet up at cuttle fish. I live a sw 46th near Gabriel park and Multnomah village.
