  1. Your event is the day after our club Christmas Party. Looking forward to it!
  2. Allan, it was great talking with you this evening on the phone. I am looking forward to this event, and hope others are too. We can organize some carpooling. I would also encourage our PNWMAS Sponsor Store owners to attend also! This seems to be a very efficient product, especially for heavily stocked systems.
  3. We can put a "Meet & Greet" together anytime. When we do this in place of, or in addition to a regular meeting, it is usually at a place like Moloko Pub on N. Mississippi St. in Portland. We have also used Greenway McMenamin's Pub on Scholls Ferry Rd. in Tigard, OR. It really depends on the interest generated for it. As Kim said, we have a lot of activities going on right now!
  4. Reeftank holding it's own, and 90 gallon coldwater dumped half its water (bought it with bad plumbing configuration) on the carpet because of a power outage. Faulty Surge Protector also fried my computer power supply and router adapter. Seriously considering relocating 90 gallon to the dumpster.
  5. Does this mean no electric chairs, racks, iron maidens, cattle prods, or whips? aww shucks...
  6. Yes! No obscene, scary, or questionable tools will be allowed!!! lol
  7. Is it possible someone at Craigslist took charging an arm and a leg seriously??
  8. Firearms are not allowed to sell in the classifieds. Basically, no illegal items, obscene, or questionable materials. I think we can all use common sense in what may be sold or traded here.
  9. I just took a quick look at the site tonight. I should have some time tomorrow.
  10. I tend to lose most juveniles while I am away a few days at a time, but can post pics from different batches possibly tomorrow.
  11. I have a few too! I need to put to use those frag racks I got in the raffle!
  12. I don't see any reason why we cant do this. We now have a discussion going in the Officers/ Board of Directors Forum... and here.
  13. Personally, I have a lot going on, but we have a great BOD that is very capable(IMHO) of handling this! We will definitely discuss this! Thanks for bringing up the whole food bank idea. In the past PNWMAS has gotten involved occasionally in some community action... We need to have more of it!
  14. Scheduled food pickups for all of the locations are to happen the week of December 7th-11th, as that will allow Oregon Food Bank enough time to sort and process the food before the holidays.

  18. Everyone is scheduled for a barrel drop. Cuttle Fish and Corals, Moloko, and Upscales will be getting their barrel tomorrow, and the Critter Cabana Wilsonville location will be getting their barrel on Tuesday of next week. The Premium Aquarium in Salem will be getting a barrel from the Marion Polk Food Share next week as well, Oregon Food Bank’s regional food bank down in Salem. Scheduled food pickups for all of the locations are to happen the week of December 7th-11th as that will allow Oregon Food Bank enough time to sort and process the food before the holidays.
  19. We really appreciate when our forum members join as paid PNWMAS Members! There are many expenses as not only paying for this website, but for supplies and fees we have to pay the State for status as a not-for-profit organization... so we can have all these great donations and raffles at meetings, special events, and guest speakers and their expenses, all of which would cost thousands of dollars. So far we have not had to ask anyone to pay admission for these speakers, including the non-members that have attended! Thanks again!
  20. The PNWMAS Food Drive in association the the Oregon Food Bank is about to begin! We have 5 collection locations, and we will have the locations posted as soon as the Oregon Food Bank Food Collection Barrels are delivered! In the meantime, The Oregon Food Bank is accepting and cash contributions here! http://www.oregonfoodbank.org/ A $10 Donation will provide 30 meals. Oregon Food Bank works to eliminate hunger and its root causes ... because no one should be hungry.OFB works with a cooperative, statewide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families. We fight hunger's root causes through public policy advocacy, nutrition and garden education and work to strengthen community food systems. Learn about the OFB Network. Thank you.
  21. Possible mail order source for fw shrimp http://www.aquaticarts.com/freshwater-shrimp
  22. I suggest writing writing "Party Bus" in the description with their payments. Also, we recommend having a "Designated Driver" for returning home, if you intend to consume alcohol while on the bus. We plan on having a waiver to sign, releasing PNWMAS from responsibility of anyone driving intoxicated after 4 hours on the Party Bus! We just want everyone to be safe while having a good time!
  23. He has posts here. http://www.shrimpspot.com/index.php?/topic/1992-greetings-from-oregon/?hl=oregon
