  1. I'll take the smaller. Are you available tomorrow?
  2. Any smaller frags for like $20-30? I don't have room for that big of a piece and I'd hate to kill a nice colony like that.
  3. Are these easy sps like Cali tort?
  4. That leather looks very happy. Surprised it's open already. It gets mad sometimes and will close for a week. I think it sheds but I never see it as when it reopens it's more fluffy and larger.
  5. My nitrates always come back between 20 and 30. Always from day 1, with different test kits and even having 2 local stores test. But several sps grow great, like my Cali tort, which has insane growth and will need to be cut back soon. When the brown leather started growing real fast in the last 6 months, the skin near the center took a slight green hue, but the polyps or whatever we're brown still, so I call it brown. The green one I gave you was one of my favorites, it seemed to have much finer/fluffier polyps than others I've seen. It's actually growing back from where I pulled it out of the rock a year ago.
  6. Softies and lps. I love zoa's the most but can't keep them alive. That brown leather and green leather I gave you were two of my first corals. The green has grown and been fragged out several times. I loved how my possum wrasse would play dead in the brown leather. I also love my green toadstool but it's getting too big for my 20. I have a rainbow acan I like and a few others. Bright yellow trumpet or candy cane is a favorite too. Not much of an lose guy but do have a few. My favorites are the really hairy sps but have not been able to keep one alive
  7. This one has split once. I'm not sure if this is the original or the split. It just happened over night about 6 months after I got it. I think that brown leather was keeping it in check now it's gone this thing thinks it owns the tank. Interestingly my clown stopped laying eggs underneath it now that it's more expanded. I put a rock in where the leather was but it just expands around it. Now it's stinging my red planet, Stylo, and blasto
  8. Medium flow is where mine does best. Maybe lower flow as my power heads are junk.seems to puff up in lower flow.
  9. You could always switched to reef nutrition bottled food. It is not cheap though. That's what I feed mostly. ROE, oyster feast, mysis, brine, Tigger pods and once a week some frozen lrs or rods but rods is tiny so I'll toss it as my fish mostly ignore it. I also feed tiny piece of seaweed to my emerald crab otherwise they seem to die.
  10. Any clue how to deal with this rbta? Ever since I gave my finger leather away it's been huge.
  11. Wasn't contradicting you, Tigger pods are copepods. Just confirming they normally have them. I get them there every few weeks as my tank doesn't support them or my possum wrasse eats them all.
  12. Obsessions usually has Tigger pods
  13. I second suncrests recommendation. I screwed up my tank by dosing equal parts of b-ionic when I only needed alk.
  14. I've taken my powerheads covers and scraped the Coraline off into other tanks. Not sure if it worked but the other tanks now have Coraline.
  15. Coraline can be a nuisance. It clogs up my powerheads
  16. Randy Holmes Farley has a lot of good info about this on the net. But... I tried the equal dosing he recommends with b-ionic and it cause more issues and the numbers were way out of whack so I just did a bunch of water changes to get it straight again. I think the most important is stability. My alk hovers around 5.5-6 or so on the Hanna checker and look at that Cali tort. My water change water is around 9. I almost don't want to bring it up and steady cause that tort would take over the tank
  17. I had Coraline start going nuts when I switched to reef crystals and now that I switched back to salinity it's seems to have stopped. So salt brand can play a role. I never added anything with Coraline so it came as a hitch hiker. I've had white, purple, blue, bright red, bright pink, and bright lime green at one point.
  18. All I can say is don't offer delivery to a local store without your added stipulations. My girlfriend is also a reefer that would be using the kit, just not as active on the site. Just ask TaylorW, she met her. Sometimes the people in Oregon are just not worth dealing with.
  19. I'll take it but... I don't get to cuddle fish much. If you can drop it off I can get my girlfriend to pick it up after work one day. Or my mom lives near and she can get it.
  20. I learned a hard lesson with equal dosing. My tanks don't tolerate it. I have to test and dose each at the required levels but... Now I learned to only dose ALK as trying to bring each into spec cause the others to go way out, at least with reef crystals as mag was always way high. I switched to salinity 6 months ago and have not tested anything but ALK which is low in the 5 range. I do weekly 5-6 gallon water changes. I had the same problem with reef crystals. My tank went way unstable when I switched from dosing alk only to b-ionic. I will never use b-ionic again. That's when all my issues began, except the Cali tort loves everything no matter what.
  21. Id go but finding rv spots at the beach on any weekend is nearly impossible, let alone tent spots without rude annoying people and their kids on the loose.
  22. Don't forget to do your tests at the same time each day. I pretty much stopped testing because the test kit colors never match the cards they give you so it's a best guess. That and I'm partially color blind from years of welding. I do like the Hanna alk checker as there's no real guesswork besides eyeballing the vial water level.
