  1. Pretty cool. During lockdown, I've spent some time just staring at and exploring the small pond in my back yard. I haven't taken any samples yet, but it might be fun to see what I can find under my microscope. Mostly I just enjoy listening to the multiple frogs in my pond. 🐸🐸🙂
  2. 8" above water surface. The RMS arms are not height adjustable.
  3. Yes, if you read my post above, I currently have 2 ReeFi's while I'm waiting on a 3rd RMS mount to install an additional light. This is on a Red Sea Reefer XL 425 which is 48" x 23" and 22" deep. I switched to ReeFi last August after previously using two Radion XR30 Pro G4's, but I kept the Radion RMS mount arms to use with the new ReeFi's.
  4. Since you asked, I pulled out my PAR meter and took these measurements just now. My ReeFi's are 8" above the water surface. All channels at 100% 1/4" below water surface: 902 Top of rocks, 6" below surface: 604 Sand bottom, 18" below surface: 273 Normal daytime peak lighting: 1/4" below water surface: 632 Top of rocks, 6" below surface: 404 Sand bottom, 18" below surface: 165 Here's my normal ReeFi lighting schedule where those last numbers were measured:
  5. Please post photos and a review of the Reefbreeders once you get things set up!
  6. He’s been making these videos for many years. See https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOHbM4GGWADc5bZgvbivvttAuWGow6h05
  7. I can never stop after just one True Facts video. It always leads to about an hour straight of binge laughing. 🤣
  8. Several of my SPS colonies at the top of my rock work have been growing quite large, and they're starting to cast shadows on some of the corals lower in the tank. I don't really want to cut them back very much, so I decided to rotate my ReeFi LED lights 90 degrees and add a 3rd light in the middle to provide more coverage, in particular in the front and back of the tank. Since I originally mounted my ReeFi's on the Ecotech RMS arms from my old Radions using custom adapters Daniel from ReeFi provided, I contacted him to see if he could design a new adapter for the rotated orientation. Here's what he came up with, and it works perfectly! The adapter slides right into the aluminum channel from the RMS, and is angled by 3.6 degrees to account for the sagging slope RMS mounts are notorious for. After test fitting this prototype, now I'm just waiting on Daniel to print the additional adapters and for my 3rd RMS mount kit to arrive so I can rearrange my lights. For now, I have one rotated 90 degrees. Here are some before and after photos: Before: After: I'll post an update once I have the new RMS arm and adapters for all 3 lights. I want to give a big Thank You to Daniel @danlu_gt. Such awesome customer service!
  9. @TheClark Now that it's been a few days, how is your graph looking?
  10. It all boils down to the limited ability of the Apex programming model to apply AND operations. In this particular example, the HIGH_ALK turns On when the Trident's Alkx2 input exceed 8.53. The only way to get it to turn Off is if Alkx drops below that value, but that reading remains constant until the next scheduled Trident test in 4 hours. There are only 3 possible ways to work around this: 1. Use a Defer timer to delay turning On ALK_HIGH: [ALK_HIGH] Set OFFIf Alkx2 > 8.53Then ON Defer 120:00 Then ON Unfortunately this would delay shutting down the calcium reactor for 2 hours, so the alk would continue to rise, further worsening the problem. 2. Use a When timer to turn Off ALK_HIGH after 2 hours: [ALK_HIGH] Set OFFIf Alkx2 > 8.53Then ON When ON > 120:00 Then OFF But the When timer forces the output to manual OFF if exceeded, so it's not a good solution for unattended automation. 3. Use another virtual output where you have more granular control by combining the state of ALK_HIGH with the delayed result of ALK_TIMER, which is what I recommended. In this case, ALK_HIGH is On for 2 hours while ALK_TIMER has not yet counted down to zero. Once it does, then it overrides Alkx2 > 8.53 even though it's still True.
  11. Wow, excellent range and distribution of colors! Looks great. 👍
  12. What if you add another virtual output that starts a 2 hour timer once ALK_HIGH turns On, and once the 2 hour countdown completes it turns ALK_HIGH off? Example: [ALK_HIGH] Set OFF If Alkx2 > 8.53 Then ON If Output ALK_TIMER = ON Then OFF [ALK_TIMER] Set OFF If Output ALK_HIGH = ON Then ON Defer 120:00 Then ON Min Time 120:00 Then ON Note, you don't need Fallback OFF on your virtual outputs because Fallback only applies to physical outputs.
  13. I thought my Radion XR30 Pro Gen4’s were really good lights, but I just didn’t like the side glare from them. I’m really surprised to see the Gen 5’s appear to be this bad. Poor manufacturing, unacceptable QA, buggy software, and cheap packaging. Either they rushed this product to market, had the project budget slashed, or the design team lost all its good people after Gen 4 was released. Just seems very odd to me.
  14. Wow! I just went out to my garage to make sure my mixing station wasn't stolen overnight!!! That's a perfect clone. Nice work.
  15. I'm guessing you probably saw my ReeFi review at R2R. I have to say, they are pretty [language filter] nice lights. I don't regret replacing my Radion G4 Pro's with ReeFi. But yes, they're spendy.
  16. No idea. Are you on YouTube from a computer or your phone? Since I only see people commenting in YouTube I doubt commenting here would guarantee winning a frag.
  17. I see people posting comments in the YouTube live feed:
  18. The YouTube link at the top of this thread did not work for me. I manually searched YouTube to find the live feed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f2ShiHx6K0
  19. Oh No...Rudy has fallen into his corals and cannot get up! 🤣
  20. Looks great! Have the clowns found the nem yet? Mine took 10 months before finally figuring it out.
  21. Pease post some photos as I'd love to see these Duncan frags in their new homes!
  22. If they could stop tanks in WW II, they should be able to stop a drunk BMW driver. 🤣 For the record, they are called Czech hedgehogs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czech_hedgehog
