  1. So glad to hear it helped! Over at Reef2Reef the tutorial series has now had over 26,000 views. It's a great feeling to know the effort of writing these topics has helped so many people, including reefers right here on PNWMAS. Thanks for the kind words.
  2. Have you considered a basic lamp shade?
  3. You could list the toilet paper for $400 and throw in the ATI lights for free....
  4. Also let me know if you need any Apex help or advice. I'm the guy who wrote the 8-part Apex tutorial series: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/neptune-apex-programming-tutorials.700483/
  5. It's a camlock fitting. I wrote up a detailed parts list for my whole mixing station on my R2R build thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/suncrestreefs-red-sea-reefer-xl-425-build.358990/post-6173194
  6. Do yourself a huge favor by adding spigot valves at the bottom of each container. It's so handy to be able to quickly dispense a small amount of either RO/DI to rinse something or saltwater to dip corals without needing to turn on a pump. I use mine all the time:
  7. Yes, I saw that after I made the comment, then deleted my comment and approved the post. Sorry for the confusion, it just wasn't obvious at first glance. The frag photos distracted me!
  8. Welcome! You’ll find a lot of great info here and reefers of every skill level. Don’t hesitate to ask for advice. And we love photos, so feel free to post some of your tanks. I believe new users only require moderator approval for the first 10 posts. This just helps us avoid spammers from ruining the forum.
  9. Aiptasia looks like aiptasia in any light. 🤦‍♂️
  10. I’m just the IT Guy. 🤓🤣
  11. Yes, I know. It's only growing on my return nozzles and powerheads, all of which I'm planning to clean this weekend.
  12. Unfortunately mine is not a DIY project. It involves excavation, foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, new electrical panel, HVAC, etc.
  13. Well, my project was going to cost enough to build a small house, so I'm choosing to reserve that money for a while.
  14. It finally made it to the surface!
  15. With the huge losses in the stock market and economic unknowns for the foreseeable future, I am putting my room addition and new tank plans on hold. It would be irresponsible to spend that kind of money on something completely recreational when it may be needed for basic living or future medical needs. This sucks, but at least my wife & I have our health and my current tank is still thriving. Hopefully all of you stuck at home are getting more quality time viewing your tanks. Be safe everyone.
  16. Can’t believe I missed it by one day! Congrats @Oregonic.
  17. @Paratore Just curious, how old was the outlet?
  18. This should give you a good sense of the flow mine likes:
  19. Wow, you are so lucky to catch it in time! Very scary.
  20. My guess is that it’s due to very low nitrates and phosphates. With levels that low, you may want to target feed it.
  21. Can you provide more details? For example: How old is your tank? How strong is the water flow near the Duncan? What are your specific water parameters? Salinity Temp Nitrates Phosphates pH range Alkalinity Calcium Magnesium When you say your other corals are "popping", what kinds of corals are they? Are any similar to the needs of Duncans, such as hammers, torches, or frogspawn? Any photos? Without this kind of detailed information, it's really difficult to provide any guidance.
  22. When I got my first BTA, my clowns ignored it so it was on its own. I would feed it a chunk or two of LRS Reef Frenzy when I was feeding the fish each day, and after a couple months the anemone split. This repeated every couple of months. Then after 10 months my clowns finally discovered the anemone and made it their home. Since they are very sloppy eaters, they drop a lot of their food into the anemone as they eat each day so I don't need to take any specific action for feeding it.
  23. Crab successfully removed. Thanks all.
