It's common in some salts, particularly IO reef crystals. Harmless but most people periodically clean out the mixing barrels. BRS did a video on salts, mixing time, relative clean mixing, etc

Need to move a big tank from Lake Oswego to Happy Valley next Sunday about 8 am. Would love to have a couple more people to help and make sure this thing makes it in one piece. You can repair the damage with the tank full. Micro mesh or a series of fine grit sand papers to polish it down. It'll take time and elbow grease, but can be fixed.
