  1. That was the old setup. It worked well, but was right where the 270g tank was going through the wall. The heart of my fishroom is still a bit of a mess, but coming along...
  2. I combined my main display and frag systems into a single sump, and had to deal with a frag tank that split, so it's been slow getting to this point, but I'm just about ready to slide the tank into place. The plumbing is already in place, so will just need to add the final connections after moving the tank. Then comes the closed loop and cabinetry work.
  3. And then open the wall up, re-route a few electrical lines, brace the joists, as it's a load bearing wall, cut the studs, add a header and after cleaning up the giant mess, we are here...
  4. Been busy the last few weekends prepping for the new tank downstairs. First, I had to relocate the sump and mixing station for the upstairs tank...
  5. I've got a pair on my 110g. I really like them with 1 caveat...the magnets, at least on the older models, are on the weak side. I'm not sure if they have addressed the issue already or not for new ones. It's not really a problem on my tank, but the pumps do a little back and forth shimmy on pulse mode sometimes. They haven't shifted positions or fallen, just do a little dance from time to time lol. They move a ton of water, are low profile, and don't have the awful MP40 ramping sounds as they are IN the tank...
  6. I just added a 110g tank to my system. Its tied into my main display, so your corals would be as safe as mine...I can hold off on filling it with frags for a bit if you're still in need.
  7. Also, open to trades for Kessils, Hydra's, Radions, Radion RMS rail and slides for xr30s, and a DC pump bigger than a Waveline DC6000...Need to up the flow on a closed loop and could update/add to the lighting on the frag systems and my new tank.
  8. I wanted it as it would fit nicely where I had a frag tank previously that cracked. Though it would have been a waste of a beautiful tank just to use it as a grow out tank lol.
  9. Wow, the sass is flowing strong already I see...LOL I guess I could expand upon my system a bit... Let's just say it's in flux atm. Tank - 110g 48x30x18 Sump - just combined my frag system(downstairs) with my main display (upstairs) into a 40x50 tank. A bit of live sand in bins, filter socks, and rock I'm making live for the 280g that will come online in a few months Skimmer - Reef Octopus Regal 250 Int that's a handful of years old UV - 40w Pentair Smart UV Algae Scrubber - Clearwater CW100 - just put online Lights - 2x AI Hydra 52 HD - blue heavy Flow - 2x Nero 5 - Waveline DC 6000 on a Oceans Motions Closed loop Return - Sequence Yellowtail Parameters - Pretty common 8.5dkh, etc Salt - Reef Crystals Dosing - BRS 2 part and occasional mag Occasional use of carbon and GFO, but those haven't been added since the changeover. Water changes - 10% every 2 weeks or so, depending on how many Honey-Do list projects I have running at the time The tank is slightly miffed as I just removed the old sump, which had the sand bed, extra rock, and refugium, but it's recovering swiftly. Once I cut a hole in the wall and add the 280g, it's bound to give me grief again briefly, as both tanks and the frag tanks will be on a single system. The frag is mounted high in the center of the tank, so PAR will be a tad on the high end...lol
  10. Here's mine. Just under an inch tall. 110g mixed reef with 2x hydra 52 HDs. Dosing 2 part.
  11. Bristle worm larvae still in the free swimming stage
  12. You do not need a controller for the doser. It's a stand alone unit. And which gyre? I have 3 up. The Jebao is the newest gyre. As for a 40b, you'd have to turn any of them down, but I had 1 running on a 3 ft frag tank just fine.
  13. 700gph. I used it on my mixing station
  14. Also have a Tunze Osmolator 3155- sold
  15. Correct. I wasnt paying attention. Fixed
  16. And it seems I cant upload any more pictures. PM if needed. Jebao CP-150 gyre- like new - $100 Maxspect XF-150- controller is tacky to the touch, new power supply, extra cages, in box and tin. SOLD Maxspect XF-150- controller missing knob, but can still be used. Personally I'd upgrade to the advanced controller anyhow, extra cages, in tin. Sold MP40w- new wetside, fraying on dry side cable sleeve, in box- Sold MP40w- new wetside, fraying on dry side sleeve at controller and pump head, missing knob on controller, no box- $120 RLSS IS8 DC Skimmer- absolutely one of the best skimmers I have used, just not big enough to handle my consolidated system- there is a crack in the bubble box that has been welded and does not affect use, the O ring between body and cup is missing, but I ran it without it, and the lid was modified for an Avast Swabbie, which I did not replace when it froze. The plastic screws are in the lid to block the holes. $250 2x 60 gallon black water barrels used for a mixing station- $50 for both 1x metal stand with circular wood top to elevate 1 of the barrels- free
