  1. And when that falls apart it will be tough to explain it to my wife... She actually has a fear of tanks exploding. When she was a kid her friends dad had a big tank that shattered for no apparent reason as she tells the story. So, she has been asking lots of questions about how you can be sure a tank will not explode. The flip side is that she wants glass probably even more than me for clarity and scratch resistance.
  2. True. Roy's tank did look great. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  3. Ya. I'm prepared for that. I figured it was worth asking jut in case someone had one local since shipping is going to be a consideration. Any recommendations on a custom builder? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think it was acrylic... I remember seeing the post on it. I'd really like to have glass to avoid dealing with scratches if possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'm looking to set up a bigger tank and I like the look of the square tanks for viewing on multiple sides. Anyone out there looking to sell a tank or have a recommendation on where to order one? I'm looking for glass only. A 4x4x2 footprint (240g) would be ideal although I could go a little smaller depending on what might be available used.
  6. Is there an end date set for the grow out? I'm starting to think about a bigger tank and depending on timing I might need to leave the current tank up for a while...

  9. I'm interested in any of those if you are selling frags...I'll be at the April meeting, but not on the bus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. How does that work? Do you flip some breakers over and then fire up or do you have a big enough generator to run the whole house? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Power is still on at my place, but I am now thinking more about getting a backup power solution.
  12. This might be the most entertaining classified ad I've read. It makes me really consider offering to trade cash for that nano tang tank. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  13. So I'm not sure what you would use this for? Could you teach me what you do with it and then maybe I'll decide I should buy some? Is it for getting rid of bugs? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  14. I need to pull some, but I'm out in St Helens so it's a ways out. I do work in downtown Portland so meeting up is a possibility. Send me a PM... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Looks great and already well stocked Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Tank parameters: Salinity 1.025 | Alk: 9.3 | Temp 78 +/- 0.5 Roughly 70 gallon system volume with just 2 clowns, a chromis and few inverts (low bio load for now). Dimensions are roughly 48x13x20. Flow: Eheim 1262 return with SQWD, 2x Rossmonth Mover 1200s and koralia nano for total flow that is probably 50x turnover or more in the display when all are running at once but an APEX is driving some on/off patterns. Lights: 2x Ocean Revive t247 running at 25% channel 1 and 30% channel 2. Other: Small ATS and refugium with an overkill grow light, AquaC Remora Pro S skimmer, oversized Ca reactor Precision Marine CR622, and I run a small amount of GFO and carbon in separate reactors. Maintenance: Weekly 5 gal water change using IO salt. Change the filter sock every 4 days. I put 1 tbsp of Kalk in my ATO water to offset some pH drop from the Ca reactor. My frag appears to be right about 7/8 inch with good polyp extension. There is a small side branch. This coral is sitting towards the center of the tank which is partially under a brace and between the two lights (top down shot had to be at an angle). (#1) No filter on the first picture--and this is from my iPhone. (#2) Top down--the frag is in the lower right. (#3) And with a filter: (#4) How about one more for polyp extension:
  17. I dump mine on the driveway and there are still weeds growing in the cracks. Seems like it would take a lot of salt accumulation to kill plants. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
  18. My frags was showing good polyp extension last night.
  19. I can grab it for you when I pick up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Works for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
