  1. I have too many accidental blue digi frags living on my frag rack. You can have one of you want. I'm out in St Helens but I commute to downtown pdx daily. PM me if you want to work something out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Interesting. I dipped them in Bayer and that definitely did the trick...and fast. Does anyone know how fast the eggs hatch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. They have not spread yet and my hammer corals seem to be unaffected so far. The good news is that all three torches are opening up again. I showed the picture of the worse one--which I thought was a gonner. If they only eat Euphyllia's then I'm actually a little relieved. @Flash21 does flatworm exit really work on them? I read on some post in a different forum that they were not affected by flatworm x.
  4. One of my torches wasn't opening normally for the last few days so I pulled them it of the tank for inspection and found bad news...flatworms. I have three torches and all have some worms and eggs. So, I physically removed all I could see and then dipped them in Bayer. Any advice on next steps? Should I get a Melanarus wrasse? Are my clams at risk? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. If you ask around there are often people who are throwing out Chaeto which tends to be full of pods. That's the way I seeded my tank--and I have pods galore.
  6. I have a piece too. Let me know if other options don't pan out. I think the piece I have is at least 3'x4' and I think it is the larger mesh size (1/4"?).
  7. I'm about 80% likely to make it. We have a beach house with family and friends at Rockaway Beach during that time, but I'm hoping to slip away or convince everyone to make a day trip to Newport. I was there last year and I enjoyed it. Sid is great. I learned a lot.
  8. I picked one up today from Cuttlefish. I'll share my experience with him. Fingers crossed for him sticking to aptasia. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Has anyone had experience with Matted Filefish (aptasia eating)? How do they do with high flow? Do they like to try LPS, clams, inverts? Anyone know where to buy one locally? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Looks like I'm still at 6. These ones seen to be camera shy in the evening but much happier early to mid day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'm going to try to make it again this year. We have guests in town that weekend, but I might convince them we should all head to Newport. Did the eel that had to be put under to feed end up getting released?
  12. I keep mine down lower, but it is possible to keep them up higher. It depends what % you run them at and which blades you have in (A vs. B). If the blades are both moving water in the same direction then you should be able to have the stronger direction up and not be pulling in air when they reverse. ...I hope that makes sense...
  13. @Lexinverts has a nice collection (and good taste). I got some encrusting frags from him last year and they are some of my favorites in the tank. I didn't see anyone mention apple berry.
  14. I'll be there and can bring back the frags for Karen since she lives around the corner from me. You can find me probably chasing around a toddler.
  15. Put me down for a Maul Acan and a blood drop Chalice. I'll make sure to send payment ASAP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Put me down for endless war. I'll make sure to send payment ASAP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks @spectra. I have a few other zoas I could frag--nothing too rare. Any particular color, etc you are looking for.
  18. Using the kalk past is where I am at now. I don't have a lot of aptasia and none of them are large. I'm just annoyed at the small ones hiding under or next to growing corals where it is tough to eradicate them. I probably don't *need* Bergia's but they seems like an interesting idea...
  19. Where did you order from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I know this is a few months after the fact, but does anyone have any Berghias they would like to part with?
  21. I have a few frags if anyone is interested. ORA Spongeodes Orange monti cap Bam bam zoas Gobstopper zoas Green hammer coral Blue (purpleish) digi Interested in anything LPS / SPS. I don't have any forest fire digi and wouldn't mind getting a piece
  22. Are you planning a big tank? Plumbing for a tank while building a house would be so nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I've been using maybe pure balls and the thick block for over a year now and nitrates are always near 0. I don't think they will drop anything for phosphate--at least I've never heard that. Do you know where your phosphate is coming from? Macro algae can help reduce phosphate but reducing the input could be a big help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. A bunch of snails (probably a thousand the size is a pinhead since they breed...), a few hermits, two emerald crab, 2 peppermint shrimp, cleaner shrimp, and a sneaky milk cowry Here's the crummy picks I took after three lights were out. I'm headed out of town so better than no post. It looks like 6 heads to me. This is on there bottom of the tank near the outer edge. It's getting roughly 125 par. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I have some GSP and some green palys that I'm looking to get rid of. If you are going to be at the meeting on Sunday I could bring them for you.
