Exactly what Miles and Sean said. The main place I've seen them is in giant form for the intakes that big aquariums use. The Monteray Bay facility has marine intake pipes way out in the middle of the bay and they run it all through big ozone generators to sterilize the microbiome before it hits the rest of the system.

Phosphates seem pretty high. Those tests are really fussy though. I would suggest you do a nitrate test soon to make sure it's not too high as well.

I use the 10k version of these. Great pumps that run super silent and it's been reliable for two years now at least. GLWS!

I used Red Sea instead of Hannah for a long time until Hannah dropped the powdered reagent out of their alk checker. Now I use the Hannah and honestly the consistency is superior over the color shift, even to someone like myself who is pretty consistent in reading it. You can't argue with hard numbers over your "readings". That said I do think the Hannah reads ~0.5dKH lower than the Red Sea kit. Regardless of a little precision drift, if whatever number you pick is staying the same and you don't change kits it shouldn't ever be an issue.

This was my first thought too that we don't necessarily have the same type of seawater on the microscopic scale. The temperature difference alone makes me think they are worlds apart. Perhaps it is the same and just moves much slower biologically. I'm pretty curious if our local biologists have anything to say about this. @IntoTheMystic, do you have any insight to share about this? @Lexinverts is this something up your alley? @EMeyer?

This sample was taken before I fixed my lights @EMeyer if that tells you anything. This balance was the result of an improper lighting photo period and spectrum. My Triton-ICP test taken almost the same day came back kind of weird too. Now that things are rocking and rolling I'd love, and be willing to pay for, another test. Please keep me in mind for the next round, this is hugely fascinating to me. Thank you for the inclusion. Here are all of the out of tolerance readings from the ICP test. Hopefully this is helpful to you.

Dude you made a lightsaber! Honestly though, can you take a multimeter and poke around the water near this thing? How'd you insulate/waterproof it? My fuge is pretty big and lit from the top by a Kessil but the mat is >1' thick and I have to flip it or the bottom dies because no light reaches it. Putting one of these laid on the bottom of the fuge would be CUH-RAZY!

That's awesome John! Those look great. Can we see the same video sans filter? My Hydra's have a ton of side bleed and if/when I lose one outside of warranty I'm already planning on selling the other 3 and getting 3 of these. I'm jealous!
