  1. Me too, but the nem is not that big...not that he couldn't do it but I would be really surprised. I've been working in the tank a lot over the past day and he would have had to digest the trigger pretty fast, with no regurgitation, bones, nothing. Not impossible though. Good eye btw! 2. I actually did. I feel like I am going to find him somewhere weird like that. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  3. I know we've all had fish disappear on us, but a 7-8 inch, fat, bluethroat trigger??? It was perfectly healthy swimming around yesterday and today it is gone. Just gone. After extensive questioning, the dogs, anemone, and wily cleaner shrimp have all been cleared. It is a mystery. Here is a pic of my 300 gallon with the vlamingii and trigger near the top of the tank. It was a big freakin' fish! RIP big guy, wherever you are. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  4. I was there yesterday (surprise surprise) and there are a ton of really great-looking corals! BOGO...Wow!
  5. Yes! Responded to the PM. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  6. Fantastic! Looks great, John. I love that little pink goni. I'm glad you have a piece of it. Thanks for the Shout Out.
  7. I bought this pair of breeding clownfish about a year ago with the intent of trying my hand at raising babies, but life has gotten in the way and I have finally admitted to myself that it's not going to happen. They have been in their own tank ever since I've had them, and are very healthy. If there was anyway I could keep them in my DT I would, but the clownfish already in there would never have it. It breaks my heart a little to part with them, though. They are super-cute together in their little terracotta flower pot. See pics. $250 or possible trade for coral colony
  8. I use citric acid to clean my testing vials. You know how after a while they get that cloudy white residue that won't come off? It used to drive me crazy. I tried citric acid a couple of years ago and voila! Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  9. I've never sprayed a frag; I use a bulb pipette to put a drop on the glue at the base. Not that I think it would hurt the tissue, I just have never done it. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  10. I use it all the time when I'm fragging. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  11. Hahaha, I love this! It's the story of my life... Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  12. Looks great, Calvin! Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  13. Thank you, John! It's weird that some people can see them and others cannot. Hopefully Calvin can change his permissions so we can see the latest pics.
  14. Anyone know why I can't access Calvin's latest pictures? The Sept 9 ones are here and I can get pics in other threads, but I can't see these. Evidently other people can. I can't get the pics on my PC, the website on my phone, or Tapatalk on my phone. Did I get banned? Did Calvin block me? @TheClark@SuncrestReef
  15. I know you were looking probably look for a tank with water in it but this looks pretty good, no?
  16. Happy birthday, my friend! I can not even list all you do for the reefing community, but here are a few that come to mind--generously donating to schools and the Tanks for Teachers program, education, providing a comfortable place to shop, ask questions, and congregate with fellow hobbyists, putting on amazing community events, supporting ethical practices in habitat preservation and livestock/coral harvesting, giving advice on just about anything saltwater-related, and so much more! And, last but not least, the best BFF I could hope for. Have an amazing day!
  17. OMSI had (has?) a whole exhibit on fetal development that included one of the largest displays of human fetuses. Yes, real (embalmed) fetuses. Quite interesting exhibit, actually. Anyway, I agree with John about the fish exhibit--sad, but beautiful. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  18. If you can configure your set up for gravity feed, that would have my vote as well. There is much less than can go wrong. That said, it is not fool-proof. I've had my float clog as well, and I don't use kalk. It is easy to notice it though, as the sump level will go down, and the reservoir levels will stay the same.
  19. Thank you so much! I had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came out! There were lots of familiar faces and some new ones, too. I loved walking down the line, handing out drinks and cookies, and hearing people who had never met talking about their tanks. Such good peeps. I want to thank Shawn @DarkAngel for her amazing help bagging and keeping us organized. And a big Shout Out to Sean @albertareef too, who always jumps right in to help whenever he hears about a sale. I can't possibly overstate my appreciation for Jeff @CuttleFishandCoral for his incredible support. Not only did he leave his own store to come help me with my sale, he helps me every step of the way, picking out corals, answering my questions, and generally keeping me out of trouble. These sales could never happen without him.
