  1. Thank you, Taylor @Taylorhardy1! It was great to see you and meet your brother. I forgot to tell you...the one in the upper left hand corner is a JF Lunar Lepto. One of the most unique leptos I've seen. Just wait till you see it under the lights--low to medium. You'll see what I mean. : ) Holly
  2. You are too kind, Jeremy @TheClark. It was great visiting with you both today! I feel so lucky that we have such a great group of peeps on this forum. I got to hang out a bit with @Dakotapi3rc3 and his awesome family, I met a new forum member @MReef20 who is super-cool, got to see one of my favorite people @youcallmenny, and I always love seeing @Vance164 so that was fun, too. Looking forward to seeing everyone else who is picking up in the next few days!
  3. That's a wrap! Two are pending but the rest are bought and paid for. Thanks everyone! Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  4. Here we go! The packs are identified by picture below. Each 6-pack is $60. If you see a pack you want, post "Sold" and the number. If someone beat you to it, you’ll automatically go on a list of back ups for that pack. If you are the first person to post “Sold” and the number, you will have 24-hours to make payment (Paypal--hollysomers@yahoo.com or Venmo--holly-somers), or the pack goes to the next person. You have 7-days for pick-up, or the pack goes to the next person. The pictures are the actual frag in the pack (as opposed to the mother colony or internet pic). If you have a question about what something is, or the size, or whatever, feel free to PM me. Local pick-up only. I’m in southwest Portland near Washington Square. 5. Fun! 85 degrees in Astoria. Who knew that could happen?! Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  6. I am a sponsoring member, and yes--thanks Jim!
  7. I use Airgas, too. My 10 lb bottle was about the same, maybe a little less. I have an account there, so I think I get a little break in price. And yes, they've added extra charges since COVID. In fact a few months ago, they wouldn't sell CO2 at all! I'll be interested to see if anyone else has found something less expensive, though that Airgas location (down the street from you) is so convenient for me I'm not sure I would go elsewhere.
  8. A lot of you are familiar with my $10 sales--every coral is $10 (yes, $10!). You are also familiar with the fact that I haven't been able to put one on since COVID. So, in April I did an online 6-pack sale that was a huge success. I thought I would do another! This Friday night (tomorrow, August 28) at about 6 pm, I’ll post the packs in a separate thread entitled “SALE THREAD--Friday Night 6-packs.” Here’s how it will work: 1. I’ll post pics of the packs, with numbers. Each pack is $60 (6 corals at $10 per coral...keep up with me here people). 2. You post “sold” and the number. 3. You will have 24-hours to make payment (Paypal or Venmo), or the pack goes to the next person. You have 7 days for pick-up, or the pack goes to the next person. 4. Local pick-up only. I’m in southwest Portland near Washington Square. Teasers: For those who like "designer corals," you'll see at least one of these in each pack--Jason Fox Sector 001 favites, Pro Corals Rainbow acro, Jason Fox Fender Bender cyphastrea, Reef Ready Grape Juice acro, Jason Fox Jack-O-Lantern leptoseris, Jason Fox Outer Space psammocora, ASD Rainbow Phoenix monti, Jason Fox Lunar lepto. There is even a little Space Invader pectinia in there. For those of you who don't care about names, just know that each pack contains solid, healthy, corals. I tried to get a variety of colors and types in each pack. This will be fun! See you Friday!

  10. I'm pretty sure there was a compliment somewhere buried in all those insults, so I'm just going to say "Thank you, Brad." 🙃 Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  11. I don't think so, considering where those things have been. Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  12. What the heck is a dry heat sterilizer and why is Holly posting it for sale on a reef forum??? Well, I used to use it to sterilize items I was using for quarantining to be sure no ich-y parasites (pun intended) were transferred around from tank-to-tank. There are lots of other uses for dry head sterilizers, but I'll leave that to Google to explain further. There is more info on Amazon as well: https://smile.amazon.com/Wayne-Metal-Products-264803-Sterilizers/dp/B07D489GLW/ref=sr_1_2?crid=27UYM69KFDGT8&dchild=1&keywords=wayne+dry+heat+sterilizers%2C+s500&qid=1596384617&sprefix=wayne+dry+%2Caps%2C232&sr=8-2 It's in great condition.
  13. I love this tank, but it's been sitting empty in my kitchen for a couple of years now and it's time to let it go. Piano-hinge canopy. Comes with the custom sump. Tank Dimensions: 20" x 20" x 5' wide Tank w/ Stand Dimensions: 50 1/2" tall x 62" wide x 21 1/2" deep Located in Southwest Portland.
  14. This is literally new in the box. Never opened. Here is a the BRS description: "This monitor tracks up to five filter stages at once by time and volume. The monitor allows you to create filter change points at each stage at an individual point in the future or at a specific water volume. When the preset points are reached the FM-2 will alert you that it's time to change a particular stage. This is a great unit for maintaining your RO Unit." 15. Okay Losers! It's that time again, and it's the halfway mark. Let's see 'em! Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk

  18. I bought a chiller a few years ago from @pdxmonkeyboy that I set up but never used, so it's up for grabs--$150. Here is the info he originally posted about it: I have a spare chiller that we don't need at work so I figured I would see if anyone needs a chiller. It is 1/2 horse..or maybe 3/4 but I can say it is the most efficient chiller I have ever used and I have used almost all of them. It will drop a 240 gallon IBC tote full of water in a 90 degree warehouse 20 degrees overnight. There are made by a guy in Florida and sold under the trade name Penguin chillers. 1" inlet and outlet. Titanium coils, digital programmable thermostat. He put later in the thread that it would work for a 300 gallon tank, or more. Dimensions are 17" wide x 12 1/2" deep x 11 1/2" high
  19. I also think @Gumby is spot-on. I have a love-hate relationship with my calcium reactor, so I try to keep things as simple as possible. Like @shaywood, I keep a second container and just swap them out when one is exhausted. I hate running out, and I hate wasting CO2 by swapping out too soon. I think it cost me $100 for the spare, which is well worth it to me.
  20. Okay, okay. I may have taken a few liberties with photoshop. I was trying to mimic Brad's sale threads, but I should know better than to try to imitate a master photoshopper like Brad. Here is my real entry for this month.
  21. It's about that time again! I know I'm a little early, but I'm just so excited about the amazing growth I am seeing! Sent from my SM-G928P using Tapatalk
  22. Does this mean there is a new build in your future, Bill?
