It is fascinating to me that SPS could spawn. Biologically, how could that happen? Any biologists out there? Maybe Sid has some insight? @IntoTheMystic

Wow, ya learn something every day. I would not have guessed that shedding flesh of an SPS coral could spontaneously attach itself and start growing. I've killed many-a SPS colonies in my life, and occasionally in a way that flesh came off, but I've never been lucky enough to have a Walt Disney pop up randomly. 😂 Do you have a picture of the left hand side one that is farther away so I could see what the colony looked like?

This is odd to me. I have had birdsnests start growing when a loose frag (even a tiny one) lands on a rock and starts growing into its own colony. But, I have never had a colony spontaneously pop up in random areas of my tank. Also, John's picture doesn't look like a birdsnest or pocillopora to me. I could totally be wrong, but it looks like it is more of an LPS-type coral. Am I missing something?

Finally! I've entered so many POTMs I've lost count. I just want to thank everyone who has supported me through the years, and saw potential when others scoffed. I would also like to thank my wonderful family for their never-ending support, quiet encouragement, and keeping me humble. Most of all, I'd like to thank @Jorge for losing. I love you man. I'll work on my acceptance speech some more to present at the next club meeting. This is just a first draft...

I've had two sales that both fell through (actually, just no follow up by the purchasers--there is nothing wrong with the Apex). So this is still up for grabs.

I have the same concerns as Thomas @Derbird. If you've ever watched clownfish with a new anemone, the clown usually plays an "in and out" game with the tentacles. Sometimes it takes no time at all, but I've seen it take hours. I'm not sure what the consequences would be of forcing it, but I would probably look for alternatives if the idea is to get the clownfish to accept an anemone as its host. You can Google it and you'll find lots of ideas. Or you can do what John @SuncrestReef did, and wait it out. Good luck!

I want to give a Shout-Out to Brian aka[mention=16179]pdxmonkeyboy[/mention] for his amazing help in bagging these corals up. He spent pretty much the entire event helping people at $10 sale. He also brought a number of his own frags that many of you snagged. I also want to thank Kai[mention=16328]bubbles[/mention] for his help, too. He's a pro bagger and jumped right in to help. He taught Brian and me a few tricks that made it go smoother. Lastly, and most importantly, I want to thank Jeff@cuttlefishandcoral for allowing me to bring my $10 sale into Cuttle Fish for this event. I'm sure many of you are wondering why a shop owner would voluntarily invite someone to bring in their corals for sale. Well, those of you who heard the comments I made before the 3:30 raffle know the answer to that. Not only is he an amazing friend to me, but he wanted to make it a community event. A portion of the sales, both Brian[mention=16179]pdxmonkeyboy[/mention] and mine, went directly to the Sexual Assault Resource Center, and Jeff took nothing. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.
