I had this problem for a while after a patch. I was pissed. called comcast, sony. etc. Nobody could me. I googled the timeout error code and found the solution myself. Sounds like youve already searched forums though... Can't remember what it was that I did. Try doing another update? Sorry man, good luck

I have a work horse ballast running 2 x 46.5" VHO's... I did exactly what pnk reccomended and added a 250W Halide (and again a 175 last night . Now I run both actinic bulbs on the VHO and have a cool blue dawn for a couple hours, then the halide kicks on for 5 hours and I have a dusk with just the VHO's on before bed. My tank is REALLY happy these days! and it seems like the fish enjoy the light cycle I've timed out. At least thats what they tell me...

I saw this tank the other day and its awesome... I could have stood in your living room for hours. Grats on the new skimmer bud. I love it how people's "transition tanks" put my display tank to shame, lol. Oh well, its getting there thanks to the help of you kind folks.

since theres a chance a few per box are DOA, how is that handled? Prob just SOL huh? I think we could hedge the lost colonies by adding $2 to each colony. at 25 colonies per box, $2 extra bucks a colony would cover 2 DOA colonies for the unlucky persons involved. Then if they are all good, TFT has an extra $50 in the budget. I'm considering 3 depending on the list and would hate to have 2 DOA and be SOL. Just a thought.

Yup, been thinking about this as well. I think the tank and stand would hold up, but maybe not hold upright... Maybe some flex braces to the wall wouldn't be a bad idea. But in the bigger picture, If the NW gets hit by a 9.0 and a huge tsunami, I'll just be happy to survive. FYI: you may want to check your INS policy man. They may cover damges FROM your tank exploding and leaking all over, but in order for them to cover the CONTENTS of your tank(possibly thousands of dollars), you may need a special "declared/apraised item" type of addition to your policy. You'd be suprised what they wont pay you when its time to come through and its not in writing. Especially after a huge event like this thread is talking about.

I say a Cleaner shrimp, garlic in food, and regular WC's will be your best bet to get things under control without stressing everything out and having to QT your fish. Don't UV sterilizers help with this as well?
