  1. wow those are really cool. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  2. I was thinking the same thing and wondering if i just didn't notice these types of things when I was younger or what, but it seems so frequesnt of late that natural disasters are tearing things up. Mother Earth seems PISSED! Could humans be the next dinosaurs?
  3. yeah thats some gnarly footage from Japan... Hopefully they can respond well and save as many people as possible.
  4. Highlights: The corals were brought to the Cebu Provincial Capitol and are now kept in the parking lot. the confiscated corals weighed more than 1.4 tons. BFAR said that at least three species from the batch were among those identified as “endangered.” Blue corals, he said, also produce a syrup that is used as an ingredient in making “bubble tea,” a drink that is popular in South East Asian countries.
  5. Anyone know of a good shop they could reccomend in Denver Co? Thanks
  6. Mixing hobbies and business or turning your hobby into a business is the quickest way to ruin your enjoyment of the hobby. Some say "do what you love." BS, I say to that. I don't want to taint my personal enjoyment for some finacial gains. Excuse my rant, I'm glad you are finding a way to return the enjoyment you've lost. Hopefully you can look back with a positive attitude about it and look forward with a smile
  7. Hopfully its a molt... Shrimp are indeed very sensitive to salinity changes. I add iodide to help my inverts molt. Seems to stretch the life of my shrimp considerably. My guess is if you don';t see a bunch of hermits on it, its prob a molt.
  8. I use a float valve linked to an elevated 5 gallon RO jug. The float valve I have is strong enough to stop the pressure of the full jug but open when it gets low.
  9. that was a bit confusing to me as well, but I figured it out. It would be cool if you got to pick your top 3 and vote for those instead of just one.
  10. Hope your week turned out a bit better Nate. I could come pick these up today after work for the PDX folks if there is anything salvagable. Any positive turn of fate in the past couple days? Not sure what your schedule is like today/tonight but let me know what you are thinking.
  11. That sucks. I had a bad feeling about this when they weren't fragged and handed over when they initially said they would be.
  12. LOL, you people are no joke!
  13. Great looking dog/best new friend ya got there! I always had black labs growing up and labs are great dogs. We'd train ours to bird and basically had a pistol with blanks (or a training blank gun) and a bouy. we'd make her stay and throw the bouy and shoot, then say ok and she'd chase the bouy and bring it back. reward, repeat. Labs love water so we'd do it over lakes as well. The best are the flying launches that can easilly go 10-15' off the end of a dock, those are the best. At our cabin, I like to float in the water at the end of the dock and have someone throw it and watch her fly over me. Fun stuff.
  14. what a bust! that really stinks man. what a terrible way to lose a clam...
  15. Is there a sticky somewhere that explains what membership is and does?
  16. How'd the fragging go? Also, I sent you $21, and I'm not sure if I need to send a few more dollars for shipping or frags or anything, if so lemme know. and what time would be okay to come by on Sat rgcrain? Excited am I! yes.
  17. ouch! Sorry man... that really sucks.
