  1. why not use a 4 bulb t5 fixture? nice even light and it's either on or off, no tech needed. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. be aware that the actinic lights do not put out much light. if you only have 4 bulbs u may want to skip that one. side note... I just got 2 six foot reefbrite xho's.... OMG amazing!!! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  6. steelhead are very very very difficult to catch. If you really want to catch steelhead I would invest in a very high quality rod that is both sensitive and strong. They have the SOFTEST bite..the just nibble the shrimp off my hook.

  9. good tips.. especially the getting air bubbles in the water. I remember a popular thread in r2r about micro bubbles.. people using an airstone near the inlet of their return pump. the little bubbles would attach to the cyano and lift it to be skimmed away. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  14. it has plants... plastic ones. it had plants at one time and the cichlids used to get mad for not feeding them 28 times a day and they would rip them out. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  19. I would be interested to hear as well. When I set up my tank I decided against it. At the time I thought that the risks outweighed the pros these days most people roll chaeto instead for nitrate export. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  23. You know as you get older, time goes by so fast? I mean, what happened to summer? It just started like two weeks ago and now its September? Well, if you ever wanted to slow down things here is the way... Go fallow on your display tank!!! "Hey Brian, how long have you been fishless" " Hmm, its been like 3 weeks or something..let me check my notes... ummm, its been 10 days" "wow, those fish look neat, when do they go back in the aquarium?" "some time this month... its been like over a month, let me check again"... I have two more months. It as if time is standing still. SIghhhh 😞
