  1. Have you seen the reef moonshiners guys dosing witch hazel for STN/RTN? Apparently works? They have some strange methods but some parts are definitely intriguing. They are on FB and R2R
  2. Man...I need to get a webcam going on my tank. which ones are you using @SuncrestReef? Can you get them to show up on the apex home page?
  3. Just swapped these out for some controllable lights. Bought these new and put over my tank end of February. Nothing wrong with them, no mods, still have warranty sticker intact on the case, they look new. Have the hanging kits as well (unmodified). These have a single plug and built in timer. Asking $150 each
  4. Here it is: https://www.marinedepot.com/standard-aquarium-controller-board-mounting-system-white-marine-depot
  5. That is a Marine Depot controller board, pre made. I wanna say it was $150ish?
  6. Curious to see pics of the tank Also, you have 2 calcium reactors shown...which one is for sale? The single or dual chamber?
  7. If you end up buying new, cheapest I found was eBay. Some sellers have them for $420 instead of the $450 that most online sites sell the combo for. Good luck with the search, they go FAST on R2R
  8. Dang that sucks! Hope the frags salvage ok. wasn’t there some new additive to stop STN/RTN that was being worked on? I swear I saw it in R2R... Any guess on why it happened?
  9. The new Prime 16s look pretty good from the BRS review:
  10. Wow, this tread just keeps getting more impressive! Wish I had a spot for a fish room, but for now I do enjoy keeping things simple. Plumbing is a love/hate relationship for me lol! might have missed it, but what is your display tank (or tanks)?
  11. Oh, I’ll take it, my buddy just got his and needs some parts I see. Have time tomorrow evening? PM me. Thanks
  12. I don’t think it’s just vendors. I’ve noticed whenever I’ve updated my build or classifieds beyond the first few posts it doesn’t go to the top on the home page. Makes it hard for people to see anyone’s updates on their builds or older posts
  13. have you not tried the most fun method?!?
  14. Just curious...why do you need more light? What is driving that need? If you have some shadowing or something, T5 supplement always helps fill it in really nice. 6 radions on a 6 foot tank is already pretty extreme.
  15. Dang, you have had a busy weekend! Everything looks tidy and compact, nice job on the organization downstairs. what size display is going in there?
  16. Looks great! That red flower pot looks massive down in the corner 😮
  17. I went to green concepts and can confirm the cat pee and cigs smell 🤣 Glad I was able to get my 200 gal from Brian second hand...things are $pendy!!!
  18. If you want to drive a bit (to Camas) I have some MarinePure spheres you are welcome to use for seeding. Have too many...my nitrates are always zero (DOH!)
  19. You think that’s bad...try BTAs! Those little buggers cruise all over the place! They even escape my zen reef shroom box with a lid!
  20. Now I’m not finding those skimmers for sale on eBay but just as a reference if you look around you can usually find something budget oriented that will likely do just fine and you won’t be using a Tupperskim Bubbleware LOL
  21. See this old thread for a cheap skimmer I wrote up. My friend is still using it. We did replace the pump eventually but the original worked ok for like 8 months.
  22. What tank is this for? DIY is great for a lot of things in this hobby, but IMO for protein skimmers you would be better off buying a used one to save money. There are things that just don’t DIY easy like body shape, design and serviceability. Manufacturers take a lot of these things into consideration and make them affordable through volume and tooling. All depends on what you are trying to achieve and what tank it’s for though.
