  1. Hey Joel, Sorry to hear that you have decided to sell but I hope that decision works out well for you and the family. Lots of transitions going on out there right now but some seem to be leading to good things for folks so I will keep my fingers crossed that your's will be another success story. Thanks for providing a top notch LFS for us addicts for the last three years - you will be leaving some pretty big shoes to fill! Sean
  2. Hey Bob and Dennis, Just wanted you guys to know that I am back in town. The tank seems to have made it through fine as far as I can tell so far... all fish and coral accounted for! It was a huge relief to know you two were watching my backs so thanks again! Glad you didn't (to my knowledge) get any late night panic calls  I owe you guys (rock2)
  3. I definitely wouldn't recommend that Eric. There are probably plenty of things in there that would not be good for your tank that you probably aren't testing for (silicates?) that will be removed by the RO/DI. It is reassuring to know we have pretty good quality water to start with but I certainly wouldn't trust just treating it. Just my opinion of course...

    New additions

Nice looking clowns Steve! What does your big female think of the new kids on the block?
  5. Hey Ryan, I installed a new RO/DI a couple months ago and was surprised to see that the water out of my RO (before going through the DI) was running at zero so I think we do have a pretty clean water source most of the year. My experience at work, however, tells me that can change pretty dramatically on a seasonal basis... seems we had a lot more organics in fall.
  6. Nice rides guys. Snowpunk, I really like the TT in that color. I forgot what mods you had Dean at Futrell's do for you. Maybe I can get and post a pic of the S4 Avant later... don't want the wife catching me doing that while we are on vacation
  7. Thanks for setting up the tour John, Kris, Brandy and everyone else who worked on that. It was a lot of fun and a great chance to meet folk. We were bummed we had to head back and miss the BBQ though. Hopefully Mark will have some good pics of that if he wasn't too busy eating ribs or hot links
  8. Yeah - Steve's milli colony is truly amazing!
  9. Hey Andy... really nice work! Glad this thread got revived as I had completely missed it at the time. Hope we see another one here at some point. Kind of a shame that the "centerfold" tank is no more... well, at least not locally.
  10. That cube tank is pretty sweet. I have been sorely tempted by it so at least now you have put me out of my misery of indecision Enjoy the cube!
  11. Yeah - unfortunately I'm at the beach right now or I would have swung by to pick one of those up. Actually, being at the beach is a good thing but you know what I mean
  12. Hey Isaac, I saw some of those last time I was in... some pretty nice frags if I remember correctly!
  13. Sounds very interesting... I would be in to seeing it at some point!
  14. True, that could turn out to be huge. Still.... WOOOOT WOOOOT Home court baby! (rock2)
  15. Hey Mark - I feel for you here. I have had a couple of six lines and while they were great fish and good "cleaners" I never could trust them. I love all kinds of wrasses but every single one I put in the 120 with the sixline would disappear or end up on the floor mysteriously overnight. Never saw the sixlines actually do anything to them (although they would go after other fish) but I could never keep multiple wrasses until I got rid of the little buggers. I now have a Melanarus instead...
  16. Looks great Jim - welcome! You have a pretty impressive coral collection going there - congratulations. What other livestock are you keeping... I just noticed the one clownfish. I hope you enjoy the board.
  17. Lots of great pics people! Those acro crabs are too cool and the blenny getting a cleaning is a great action shot, as is the clown and candycane. Tough competition these days!
  18. Hey Jon, does this depend on the method of splitting (i.e. natural vs. cut)? I hope I didn't endanger mine but it certainly seemed fully intact and robust... just wondering about the comparative "trauma" of those situations. Sean
  19. Wow! Another awesome tank Mark... congratulations and welcome aboard (clap) Oh, and really nice pics as well.
  20. OK... now you guys are making me nervous (scary) I have at least two in my tank that I never see unless I ambush them out at night. I guess I will know if something happens to them when all the fish go belly up
  21. Sounds like a good turnout! BTW - make mine blackberry I hope we can stick around for at least a bit of the BBQ. Unfortunately, we have a bunch of stuff to get done before leaving town on Monday so can't stay too long (sad)
