  1. Good to hear it's going well Shawn. Sorry about the acro crabs though... definitely a bummer but, as you say, not much to be done. Hopefully you and Curtis will have the red bugs whipped her pretty soon. (enforcer)
  2. Thought I would chime in with my praises of Steve as well. An awesome tank with some amazing pieces of coral and a really generous guy. If I didn't have someplace I needed to be, I probably would still be hanging out asking him questions about his setup. Well... he probably would have kicked me out by now I look forward to hooking up with you again in the future and thanks for the great pieces and all the advice - it was great to meet you!
  3. I have a EV-180 on my 120 gallon and it seems to do quite well. Also seems like a good choice if vertical clearance is an issue. I don't know how much the C series and the Remora have in common given the significicant external design differences so it could be someone might hate the latter but like the former. Ryan, have you ever used one of the C series? Just wondering... Hope you find something that works out well for you!
  4. Pretty nice Mark! Of course, since you own one, your power is now gauranteed to never go out... there is still the camping though
  5. Thats a great idea Brad, I have done the same thing as well. It would definitely encourage higher usage I bet. With the old chat setup, people used to post in a thread to let everyone know they were there but this idea would be much better in my mind.
  6. That happened to my grandmother when she was living with us... much screaming ensued! By the time we went in with baseball bats to take it out, it had disappeared back down the drain. (scary)(scary)
  7. Aaagghhh! I was about to try and get to sleep... don't think that is happening now. Thanks guys!
  8. Ouch! Sorry I asked Mark DOH! Here is hoping for it's happy return!
  9. Hey looks great Mark! Yeah, it does seem like things are pretty packed in there but as long as everbody is happy... and they do look happy! When you getting that cube up and running anyway??? Let me know if you're bored with it already - I would be happy to take it off your hands
  10. Ahh... that makes sense, and also kinda cool! I was wondering since it would likely be something involving relatively small parts - and lots of them to be willing to shell out 15K. BTW - nice job on the reactor Ryan.
  11. You realize what you just did to yourself there Miles! Better go get that generator ASAP!!!
  12. Very slick! I wonder what he uses it for normally? I doubt someone would drop 15K on one of those on the off chance their daughter's boyfriend is a reefer Kind of makes me want to start a list of cool acrylic projects now (plotting)
  13. Hey congrats on the capture! Now that you have figured out how to do that, you wanna come hang out with my tank for a while??? I'm sure I have some critters in there that would keep you busy Good luck with number 2!
  14. Miles - maybe you should just plan to be gone on vacation for the entire month of March next year... perhaps that will cure it. Seriously though, good luck fighting off the pests. Your tank always looks awesome despite the challenges.

    New Coral

That was my thought as well. Looks like it has great color. I have a similar green one from Soutas.
  16. Absolutely agree... that's why this thread is killing me! I just hooked up a controller and now you guys are tempting me to drop a whole bunch more cash on getting it "wired", or rather, "unwired" - then I will have to swap out my blackberry for an iPhone so I can have that app! Evil... just down right evil you all!!!
  17. OK... this geek one-upsmanship has got to stop! I am getting too jealous!!!
  18. Thanks for the ID! That has awesome color... I would love to find one like it some day. Sorry to hear about the tank crash and losses. Hopefully everything is rebounding well. I bet I know who lost in cucumber vs. powerhead...
  19. Did that patch of blue catch your eye as well Blaine? I was wondering what that was myself (scratch). Almost looks like a sponge of some sort but my eye's (and monitor) aren't what they used to be. Great color whatever it is!
  20. Excellent advice Blaine - I lost a lot of FW livestock this way pretty early on in my aquarium keeping days and am very paranoid about this as well. Sorry you had to discover it with much more precious specimens! Good luck Andy. Hope you get things completed in time!
  21. Welcome Daniel! Nice looking, well stocked tank - congratulations! I like that elegance coral...
  22. Nice pic John! That was my first thought as well when I saw the thread title - and I even work with several Thunderbird users!
