  1. Cool. Thanks! I do have a bit of algae right now due to a bunch of die off. I had a thermometer break and short my heating controller while I was away and the temp went to 70. I am fine with him cleaning but don't need to have any more coral go!
  2. Did I catch this guy mid dinner? It looks like he is eating my coral. I know people say the white ones are ok but what about the dark grey/black?
  3. Dang. Expired 12 hours ago. I need a new one for a small kegerator build
  4. Before you go to beaverton from OC, try Fubon on 82nd and Powell or the new Asian store on 82 and flavel.
  5. I have had nothing but negative experiences at the wet spot. The most positive thing I can say is they have a lot of tanks.

    What with his eye

    That's great information. Thank you!

    What with his eye

Dang it! I was afraid of that. It's only the one eye and has gotten better but not 100% yet. This is my first sick saltwater fish, so is this a copper treatment in the hospital tank or do you have something you recommend?

    What with his eye

I picked up this black ice clown last night. Today when I got home I noticed his eye. I am not sure I looked at it before. Is he blind? Anything I should worry about? The one on the left.
  9. I have gone the reefpi route a few times since the project started. It's cheaper then the apex but still adds up once you add all the stuff up. Plus it does not look as well put together if that's your look. I like the DIY look as I have a [language filter] ton of other self hosted and diy projects. My first reef pi build crapped out when the pi lost control of the ethernet/USB bus and the gpio. I also had issues with updates and my breadbord with my sensors went out and I had to make a new one. That said, if you are willing to tinker and risk the controller being down, Reef pi is probably your best route. However, since it's still in development, if you need 100% reliability, I would go with apex.
  10. I thought it was me and my adblocker. I was having trouble making a post about it too. Thanks for being on it so quickly @TheClark
  11. 2 and a half months later. They still look happy.
  12. I had a feeling it was about this time after you said you were making room in the frag tanks. Can't wait!
  13. I am sorry to hear this. I hope you recover quickly.
  14. I am/have used those floats before. They work great till they dont and there is no warning. Luckily, I use them for ATO only so when they fail, its off and then my return lets me know by sucking air. I have started moving to the optical ones by DF Robot https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0795QJML2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I dont have an apex so I am not sure how to connect them but if you can wire a float I bet you can wire this. There are no mechanical parts to fail.
  15. Are you running PiHole? I know I made that overly restrictive and messed up the images on this site once. If not, I would say you got a bad cached image and thats the reason you are not able to view it even on the direct link.
  16. How about this. Can you see the image now?
  17. Damsel has a new home. Mods, Please close.
  18. I have a piece of GSP about the size of a quarter you can have. It will be baseball size in a few months.
  19. Holly you are so kind. The damsel and the branch of palys has found a new home. I think I am going to try to remove some of the sps from the other rocks and let the palys dry outside. Thanks for all the support.
  20. I have a kenya tree, green sinularia, GSP, and green palys you can have if you want.
  21. Dang! @MrBretThose look great.
  22. DANG Holly! That does not sound fun! What? Just from being in the water with the skimmer? Thats intense.
  23. now you all are making me think this cold is from these palys! Still available if you can believe it with all these great selling points. The ones I am giving away were on a piece of rock I had glued to some base rock and the palys grew around it like a branch. I have broken the branch off at the glue point. I would just let the base rock they have spread to dry out, however, I had placed some of @Gil&Fin's awesome encrusting SPS on that same rock and I would like to keep as well as some mushrooms. I may just take the rock out and chisel them off individually. It sounds like Jeff might end up with a bunch of palys and a blue damsel soon.
