I just saw a sign on a street corner for a lost parrot in NE portland. I would be amazed if it flew that far though... I'll check to see what kind of parrot the sign said and let you know.

You can always take it to Coast Mirror in NE Portland. They're one of the few good shops that drill aquariums.

Ok here is what I'm going with.... Aquamaxx Star S1 calcium reactor Aquatek premium co2 regulator w/ solenoid 5lbs aluminum co2 tanks ARM Course Aragonite media I'll use my Apex pH probe to control it. Wish me luck! 2 part has just not been working as well for me.

Thanks for the good information! Regarding the end of tank dump, if I just make sure the tanks doesn't fully empty before refilling, sounds like I shouldn't have that problem? Maybe that's overly optimistic to assume I'll do I'll probably give this one a shot.

It just came out today! Bought mine on fragtasticreef.com but looks like it'll be available on other online retailers at any point. Am I the only one so excited about this? The gyre is the best at water movement, hands down, in my opinion. It just lacked a good controller until now.

Catfish2 - I have the exact same situation going on. 50gal of water volume and am dosing 130ml CA and Alk per day with a dosing pump in 24 increments. I called brs twice and they said some tanks just consume a ton like this. I have a little participate on my pump but not much else.

Hi, I'm selling my Bubble Magnus Curve 5 skimmer which is in great condition and only saw about 3 months of use. I purchased it from MarineDepot.com new in late April 2015. I just upgraded over the weekend to a Curve 7 which i purchased used from this forum. One good thing about purchasing a used skimmer like this is that you won't have to go through the "break in" period. This will start producing skimmate very quickly. Cleaned and ready to go. I for one am so excited about this!! I've used the gyre pump for the past 4 months and absolutely love it. Moves water like none other and is at a great price point. My main issue has been with the limited functionality of the stock controller. Once you can connect to Apex, it'll be perfect. You'll able to run a gyre at each end of the tank to create an even push/pull wave effect. Quote from Coralvue and Neptune mentioned a couple days ago : The IceCap controller that will allow you to hook a gyre to your Apex or other 3rd party controller will be out at the beginning of August. We will let everybody know via Facebook and our website when they are ready and available for purchase.
