  1. Lol this is entertaining to read. We're all here for our love of reefing so let's not get caught up in minor "political" and formatting tiffs.
  2. I have a virtually new AquaMaxx HOB-1 for sale for $175. Great skimmer and huge step up from the cpr. I just switched to an in sump model.
  3. Texted you back. I'll take it.
  4. Perfect timing since I just broke mine last night! What brand? I will gladly take it.
  5. You're totally right. It won't rid the tank but helps the fish kick the disease by boosting it's immune system. I use a UV sterilizer at a very slow flow to try to get it out of the tank. If the fish are healthy enough, ich can live in the tank but never effect the fish.
  6. I have never used a thing other than garlic extract (Kent marine) to rid fish of ich. I have had it several times, pretty bad, never lost a fish with the garlic treatment. I add it to their food and drops in the tank daily. I also add a lot of Selcon Marine supplement to the food as well.
  7. I did the same thing. Love the Gyre!
  8. Any more people want to share their setup?
  9. Woody taught me everything when I first started with reefing 10 years ago. Wonderful guy and very knowledgeable. Glad to hear he's recovering and getting back in the swing of things. Is he opening a new shop?
  10. It's interesting to see the variations in setups. I started with a higher intensity and had to work my way down because corals lost a bit of color. Since lowering, they have colored back up. When I had whites and blues closer to equal intensities, I saw a bit more brown algea growth. Lowering white helped since algea prefers that spectrum over blue.
  11. My setup: 1. 60 gallon SPS, LPS dominant 2. 48 x 3 watt Rapid LED DI kit w/ 24 royal blue, 8 semi-UV, 2 green, 2 red, 12 cool white. 3. Intensity - 66% blues and 51% others 4. 8" from top 5. 19" deep tank 6. 11hr on with 2 HR sunrise and 2 HR sunset. 45min delay on non-blues
  12. I'm curious to hear how everyone runs their LEDs, what percent intensities and color ratios, etc. 1. Size of tank and dominant coral type 2. Color Ratio and number of LEDs 3. Percent intensity per color channel 4. Distance of LEDs from top of tank 5. Tank depth 6. Length of "lights on" period and any ramp time
  13. I am still looking. Let me know when you're selling it, how much and everything included. Thanks!
  14. Thanks for the Stylo, Monti and Digi, J-Dog! Already fully open and looking great in their new home.
  15. I'll take a mystic monti tomorrow too if still available. Please hold the three corals for me.
  16. And a frag of superman digitata too
  17. I'll take the larger rainbow stylo!
  18. That's great to know! I will likely end up buying new and if/when I do, I'll make sure to from your store. Thanks
  19. Sure: Copperband butterfly Leopard wrasse McCosker's Flasher wrasse Yellow coris wrasse Purple firefish Royal gramma Cleaner shrimp Snails/hermits Everyone "seems" peaceful and keeps to their own business but the copperband could be suspect... He picks around a lot.
  20. My nitrate levels remain virtually undetectible... Also, PO4 is at .04 or less I have been adding phyto feast for clams once a week at night. Maybe I should direct feed him more than that?
