It's with a very heavy heart that I have decided to put my Copperbanded Butterfly up for adoption. He has been in my tank for several months and is extremely healthy. He eats like crazy and is very social. The reason I need to find him a new home is that he is NOT reef safe in my tank! At first he was fine but over time, he began to pick at my Clams and Acans. He does fine with SPS, LPS and Soft Corals. He is medium sized, about 3-4" tail to nose. AMAZING at cleaning out any Aptasia or unwanted parasites. Need him to go to a good home with lot's of space. Asking $35.

Everyone will tell you something different, i promise :-) I and many people i know with great tanks use a Bubble Magnus. IMO it is the best skimmer especially for the price. I would always get a skimmer that is rated larger than your tank. A Bubble Magnus curve 7 ($299) would be ideal for your tank but a Curve 5 ($209) will work just fine too.

Certainly looks like progress from previous photo. With everything you just tried, I would let him sit and see how he looks after a day or two.

Wanting to add a 22" 15 watt florescent blacklight above my 50b reef tank to help bring out phosphorescent colors. I hear a lot of back and forth about is safety... Thought??

No new additions to the tank? Checked for pyramid snails? Freshwater dip in warm rodi water is a good option to consider

I could really use that RO pump. I have an RO skimmer with a bad pump. Please let me know if I can pick it up.

Found the problem. It is the copperband picking at him. I put a piece of transparent mesh attached to acrylic rods above it, like a tent, so the copperband couldn't get to it and the clam opened back up to normal. Removed it for a couple days, closed up again. When added back, it's happy yet again. Such a deliema since I can't bring myself to part with either. Maybe the tent will need to stay....
