  1. Hi, I have a beautiful and healthy Copperband Butterfly for sale. He eats like a pig and cleaned out every single aphasia anemone in my tank. I've had him for about 8 months. He was purchased from C&C. He is mostly reef safe. My tank is heavily stocked with SPS and LPS and he never picked at them. He may pick at clams or acans when they are first introduced but not to a point where it harms them. I have two clams which did just fine. Selling him because i moved last weekend and broke down the tank. Planning to start fresh and doing some house cleaning of creatures and corals i no longer want to keep. I had posted the Copperband a couple months ago but was unable to catch him. He is in a separate tank now where I can easily net. He needs to go by tomorrow (Wednesday) or i will likely take him to a local fish shop. Price $35 Link to pic: http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q561/zwickmichael/Mobile%20Uploads/20150308_165444_zpsjgfkufs9.jpg Thanks, Mike [/url]" />
  2. Will the tank go through a "mini cycle" again? I have a lot of SPS I'm worried about. Thanks for the good advice. I'm going to do new substrate.
  3. Beer503. Reef Octopus but non recirculating
  4. Man, that skimmer is a beast! I saw it last week in person. It's in excellent condition. Wish it wasn't to big for my soon to be 120
  5. I'm moving in to a new house and am trying to decide if i want to start with a new sandbed or try to wash in RO/DI and reuse the old. I've read opinions for doing both ways so wanted to check with the forum to see who may have experienced this process and what you decided to do. The one thing i know i should not do is dump all the old sand in without washing. . Anyone have recommendations?
  6. Maxicurls - I can pick both up tomorrow around 6pm! Need some extra holding tanks to have around . Pm Sent
  7. Arsonmfg - Reefcentral.com has several Gyres up for sale if his MPs won't work.
  8. Hi all - I'm moving into a new house and unfortunately have to move the tank. I'm wondering if anyone has a 30+ Gallon container I can buy or borrow for a week or so to hold the livestock. Want to make sure it's safe to use with livestock. This is my first time moving a reef tank so also open to recommendations!
  9. I might put it above the dinning room but against an outer wall of the house to make it more supported
  10. I can post pics in a couple weeks when I have the keys. I figure it'll weigh around 1500lbs total, giving a bit of extra in case. I wanted to go with a 48x24x24 size but I'm thinking a longer 120g would be better since it'll span more floor joists. I would put a water proof rubber material underneath to prevent water from touching the floor.
  11. Just bought a house and wondering what people's thoughts are on having a 120 Gallon on a second floor? House was built in the 90s so relatively new...
  12. Thanks for the Blasto, Lobo and rock nem! Great seeing you again
  13. FYI the eshopps RS-75 fits under a biocube 29 stand perfectly. It's not to expensive new either.
  14. Do you have feedback/updates on the Mind Stream monitor?
  15. Bump. Just hoping to make space in my tank. Nice and healthy corals! Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  16. Frank - how long have you been running them and how's your coral growth and coloration under the settings you shared? Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  17. I have two Hydra 26's connected to my Apex. Really liking them! I do an 11 hour photo period with a very gradually ramp up over several hours. Only at its peak for a couples hours mid-day. I start very blue and then go to 20k, 18k, 14k and very briefly 12k before it cycle goes back the other direction. Keep intensity to higher than 70% at peak time. What have you been doing so far?
  18. The soleined wouldnt power on or off when connected to outlets other than 4 and 8 which work for low wattage devices. Not sure if that's common or just the solenoid I have. Just test on yours. What regulator and reactor did you go with?
  19. I just went from dosing to a reactor for the first time and am very happy with the decision! I hooked my solenoid up to the 4th outlet on the EB8. Used very simple programing: Fallback OFF Set ON If pH1_Ca < 6.60 Then OFF I run my reactor at about 6.8 with ARM media. It's not necessary to have a probe in the tank but if it makes you more comfortable, go for it. I do have a secondary chamber connected to my reactor that's also filled with media to help raise the PH of the effluent and absorb any extra co2. That helps keep the effluent entering your sump at a higher ph.
