  1. Didn't see much detail on that but I'm sure it'll cover an average range of the better selling sizes. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  2. Powers up to 2 x 54 watt (48") t5's Here is a link to the ballast which I purchased from BRS: http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/t5-dimmable-ballast-54w-ati.html I ordered this ballast initially wanting to go with dimmable t5's but decided I want regular, non dimmable. It has never been used and is in like new condition. I'll sell it for $35 (~40% off) as I just want to cover the cost of the new ballast I want instead. I also have an Apex dimming cable I'll throw in for an extra $12 ($3 off) which has never been opened from the package. Message if interested. Happy to send a pic. Thanks, Mike Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  3. Pretty excited about this one! Syncra SDC – Sicce’s brand new controllable high performance pump https://reefbuilders.com/2016/05/12/sicce-syncra-sdc-pump/ Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  4. Glad to hear that! I hope the 3x Hydra 26s and 4x t5 provide enough quality light. I figure the LEDs will penetrate to the bottom better than the t5. I wanted the bottom to be much lower light than the upper part so I can have a variety of levels for my corals. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you Jorge and Jeramy! Appreciate the kind words. TheClark - I've been using the AquaMaxx Star S-1 for about 8 months and love it. Haven't had any problems, it's well built and keeps consistent levels. I did add a secondary chamber which I'm sure has helped. Just went with a GEO UMC420 Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  6. Plumbing virtually complete! Ended up slightly different than my initial blue print but still works just as intended. Passed the water test today! Will be running it for a couple days to make sure there are no leaks in the plumping. Next, I'll be wiring the canopy with 4 x T5s and 3 x Hydra 26s. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  7. Can you post a pic of what's left? Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  8. I'll definitely take them if still available! Sending pm Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  9. I'll take the breakout box! Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  10. I'll take the nems. Sending pm Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  11. What would you say the diameter of each maxi nem is? They look very nice! Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  12. That's great! I would definitely go for it if we have enough people. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  13. How is this different than the BRS "group buy" when you get 10% reward points? Is it 10% off actual price versus reward points credit ? Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  14. Chris - Yes, i will be mounting all the pipes using plastic pipe clamps. Even placing a thin piece of rubber between the wood and clamp to help dampen vibration noise. Good to know about the initial shaking though. It may seem I like had patience but if you were to ask my girlfriend, she'll tell you the opposite It took forever to get the tank and stand!
  15. Never used it either but will be adding a bucket of Walt Smith to my refugium on the new build i'm working on now. Would love to hear more from people who have used it! Also, wonder if the mud's nutrients coming from the amazon river in to the ocean, here in this article, is playing a significant role in the success of this newly discovered reef.... http://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-just-discovered-a-1-000-km-coral-reef-at-the-mouth-of-the-amazon
  16. Here is the plumping so far! Nothing is glued yet, just testing everything out. Still need to add the 5 Cepex ball valves on the return manifold where the T-fittings are. Let me know what you think and if you see any potential room for improvement. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  17. Well I'm waiting for some additional plumbing pieces to arrive from BRS, I built the cabinet unit that will hold all the electronic components such as an Apex, drivers, controllers, etc. It'll be placed next to the tank and will be ventilated. Wanted to keep all electrical items away from the stand. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  18. Waterproofing the stand with commercial gym floor mat. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  19. Here it is! 150 gallon high tank 48"x24"x30". Fours holes drilled and back painted. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  20. So the tank went to Coast Mirror in Milwaukee today to be drilled. I wouldn't dare do it myself. I had another tank drilled by them and it turned out great. It's hard to find a place the even does it. There will be 4 wholes drilled, two 2.5" for the Synergy Reef overflow box and two 1.5" returns on both sides. Fingers crossed that is goes smoothly! 21. Huh, so where did it leak from? The red valve, connection point, or...? Did you have the Spears brand from Bulk Reef Supply? Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  22. Other good news is after 3 months, the tank and stand FINALLY ARRIVED!!! I'll be resuming my build thread Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  23. Got the new temperature controller wired today! It'll keep the tank within 1 degree and is connected to my Apex for redundancy. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  24. I'll take the Apex breakout box and LSM! Pm sent Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
  25. Last one before I ship back to BRS! Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
