Not much has changed, but everything is growing. Since dosing vodka, I can definitely notice less brown in the corals, but unfortunately I haven't seen better coloration. The corals look a bit pale, but maybe they are just adjusting, Idk...

I mentioned earlier that I wanted to put curtains on the clear opening of my stand. That way I can block the macro light at night. Well, I went out to buy some stuff and realized that short curtain are hard to come by. To deal with this, I decided I would make my own. Well more specifically, my mom will. (Side bar: Yes, I'm a married man who still relies on his mommy to help him do stuff) Anyway, I saw this material at Wal-Mart and couldn't help but pick it. My wife was kind of supportive, but I could see she wasn't totally sold on this childish material in or living room. I think this will look dope on the front of the tank. What do y'all think?

Cool! Another local reefer. Unfortunately I don't have anything in the way of large colonies. Considering what Douglas mentioned about breaking down his tank and selling off his stuff (either to members or to TPA) I would think you would have a great opportunity to score something from that operation. If you never got to see his setup, then I don't think you can honestly comprehend or appreciate the possibilities that await. I would keep a close eye on OXX155 and what he posts up.

Yeah, I dose vodka as well. The online article (from RC, I think) says that you should dose .1 (point 1) ml per 25 gallons of water, per day. That's actual water volume, not just tank. So a 75 gallon usually has about 50 gallons of water, so the daily dose would be .2. Do this for one week, then increase by .5. Increase each week until n and p start dropping. Once they reach zero, cut dosing in half, that will be your regular dosing regiment. Adjust as needed.

Just wondering what supplements, if any, you folks are using? General trace, iodine, iron, etc. Let's discuss some noted benefits. Thanks for the insight.

Click your user name in the top right to drop down that list. Then click user settings. On that page there is four tabs I.e Profile, Account, Privacy, and Notifications. Click Account. Scroll down until you see "Edit Post Signature." Bam!
