It's got about a year of use on it. I'm moving so figured it was a good time to upgrade. It's been a great addition to my tank and it's saved my butt on vacation. Comes with two refill packs (4 rolls total) and I've recently bleached/sanitized it. Ive also upgraded it to use the magnetic optical sensor rather than the poorly placed stock location. This allows you to adjust when you want it to roll. $100

I bought one. So far, the only fish that goes in it is my starry blenny and my clown. The two fish that i can [language filter] near catch with my hands. I'd say pass on them...

I don't use biological filtration in my QT's. In fact, I use no filtration. I simply do 100% water changes every 3-5 days depending on ammonia levels and keep my fish count low. A lot less guess work involved. I like to employ methods I can verify working and test for.

You should lower your cost on dry goods/equipment and raise cost on livestock. Just my 2cents.

Unfortunately, 3d printing is a poor candidate for this. 3d printed objects are hard to make water tight. Would probably be easier to CNC one out of acrylic, but the same problem would likely exist. It's hard to machine or print barbs on nipples that small. Can you just use a zip tie on each of the tubes?

I've got both brewing now. Just picked up a filefish today. I'm also setting up an aiptasia cultivation tank (10 gal with hob) We'll see what happens.

Nice. I've been watching fixreef on YouTube. I'm an experienced solderer, so I bought all of the replacement parts just in case. Haven't had issues yet. Glad you got that thing fixed. Sad they cheaped out on components for something so pricey.

Good to know! I was going to do the peppermint shrimp thing, but I have 4 healthy sized wrasses that would likely turn them into dinner pretty quickly I'll check out that link and maybe order a couple. How many would be a good start for a 150 gal and a 15 gal?
