  4. Finish it and clear coat it I love the natural wood look =)
  5. I can not see your pictures?
  6. How are you maintaining your alk cal and mag? Just through water changes or are you dosing in some way?
  7. When I first Started I would watch a lot of MR Saltwater Tank videos on youtube. Nano-Reef.com is also another good site to look up. Oh yeah and the mother load (you just need to bring a massive filter) Google =)
  8. Die Hard Beaver! I am glad that we came to play in the second half amd made a game of it. Now if we could just put 4 solid quarters together we would have a great thing going here.
  9. Got these 3 today and am very happy =) This one is attached to a living muscle or Bivalve of some sort kinda cool to watch it work. I believe these are similar to gorilla nipple They are the onset on the left attached to a shell. those in thefore ground are GB Shangri-la And last but not least these look kind of like some pink zippers Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  10. Just wanted to bump this up and see if any one Has Blue tubs =)
  11. Awesome I live just down the way in Aumsville. You should start a build thread so we can see your tank =)
  12. How did this turn out? Good or bad would love to hear the outcome =)
  13. Added a few new corals to the tank. A really awesome octospawn neon green from the TPA. Also recently added a Christmas tree favia and a coral that I am sure I should know what it is but have drawn a blank. Neon Green Octospawn this is the wall variety not branching Christmas tree Favia And the one I can't recall we will just refer to it as LPS "X" ????Favites pentagona???? 14. Comes in a box with 4 50gallon mix bags
  15. I used about $10 worth of bags and figured it was worth it to save the extra salt.
  16. I am using Kent reef salt and it is a little over 2.5 cups. I have a tumor ware I had used to mix my salt and have gotten it dialed then I drew a line and can now just fill it to the line. That is what I used to portion out each package of salt. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  17. So I have a nano and don't burn through salt at a breakneck pace. However we all know the best deals come from buying the 200 gallon box. I got down to my last back and went to open it and it was rock solid unusable. So I went and bought another 200 gallon box only this time I measure out the amount needed to mix up 5 gallons of salt and used the vacuum sealer to make 30 individual packages of salt. Which should last me until next summer. I now don't have to worry about moisture contamination Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  18. Is there going to be an official thread to kick this off with a break down of the rules of engagement so that we can start making our posts
  19. Do you quarantine your fish?
  20. Are you sure this tank is big enough for those tangs
  21. Yes it is picture was taken shortly after dipping and acclimation.
  22. I have been playing around with a yellow pair of safety glasses I use at the range to filter some of the blue from my leds when I am taking pictures. I am using my Samsung S4 to take the pictures. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

  24. Howdy Folks, Just doing some research I have been toying with the Idea of getting an Apex controller for when I upgrade tanks. When I came across this unit that is in the same price range and seems to be a little more user friendly for the intermediate user.I also liked the software package that comes with it. It seems to offer more options at the base level than the apex. Just trying to be thorough with my research still not sure I can justify spending this much on any piece of equipment for my reef. Has any one in our club used one of these? Would love to hear any additional input pros and cons. Thanks
