Well it has been a few months since I posted anything on the tank. So here are a few shots aftrer doing a water change this morning. Have added a few more frags of different things and also a few more fish. Still have not added a calcium reactor but everything seems to be happy. Only coral that will not survive is a monticap lost 2 and not sure why. I really like them and wish they would flourish in there. Anyway here are a few pics.

Yes when I was there a few months ago it was amazing. A walk into Jodys place is like a kid in a candy store(scary) To many options to choose from. Plus he is a real nice guy to deal with.

After looking at the pics it looks like the metal cover is what is rusting. And after looking at mine you should be able to take it apart and sandblast it and have it powder coated and it would look like new. It is just a cover. Wish these were for sale a few months ago when I bought mineDOH!

Glad to here it has a home. So what is the plan for it? How is it getting there or is it there already?

One question for the mods. Seeing that there has been a few more spam post than normal what have you done to try and get rid of this? Not trying to stir the pot just wondering if there is anything that can be done. I know a friend of mine who runs another board I go to has blocked all IP addresses from certain countries. I know it takes time to to deal with all this so just seeing if there is a way to free up some time.

Looks like a bad weekend for football for ya(whistle)

Looks great wish I had the room in mine for all that stuff. One question though are you worried about the cold in winter? What kind of heater do you plan to run? Just noticed there was no insulation in the walls and was wondering.

Bad time to remodel Impur just left for the big island. Would love to help you out but Ptown is along ways away.

I think it should work for you. I have a shed like that to only it is for garden tools DOH! I had to build it close to the house and it has been there for 4 years or more. Still have no problem with water or any water run off. Project looks good keep the pics coming.

Hey that stuff looks familiar. Some guy was buying some when I was at Waves today(laugh) Glad to here it got loose and is now sticking to the rocks where it belongs. Hopefully those wont have to be used.

Well so far so good. Have had my 90 running for about 2 months now maybe longer. Have added some SPS, Zoos and a few other things. Everything seems to be doing great. Need to invest in a calcium reactor to keep everything happy in the coral world. And as for livestock have only lost a pearly jawfish due to jumping out and one cleaner shrimp not known what happened came home yesterday to find it being eaten by the CC. Will post some pics soon just need to take a few.

Hey if you need some steel let me know. I have all sorts of stuff lying around. I probably throw away more that you need(laugh) And yes prices have went up but more than 3x.

I know the tank he has it was mine for a short while before I traded it to Joel. And as for the glass yes it is thick and should be fine. I was just using the guppy tank as a referance to using metal for a frame. I know they are not the same. I even had bigger tanks on metal stands back in the 70s that is what was available. And if worried about rust because it will happen even if it is powder coated I would run a strip of wood on top of the stand. And yes a brace through the center would not hurt even my sons 29 has a center brace in the stand.
-
The plastic around the bottom should be enough. I remember when I was a kid all of the 10 gallon guppy tanks we had were on metal stands with nothing between them.

It is actually at a trailer dealer on Columbia BLVD. Can get you a name if I go by there.
-
The stand that came with that tank had a covered top but like said before the corners are the biggest part. Look at it this way the corner of your tank is drilled for the overflow so where is the stability in that. Also most of the plastic corner trim keeps the bottom glass from touching anything. I knwo the stand that I built for my sons 29 has just the corners supported. If I was to build a stand for the tank you have I would just support the edges only. That way you can easily plumb it and get to it real easy. Good luck and keep the updates coming.

He is my little fish geek. 8 yrs old and surfs the net looking at fish sites. All I here is Dad lets get this oooh look at this. Today he saw a shrimp of somekind and was Dad I want this. I am glad he love the tank and actually knows everything that is in there. Funny thing is he is real shy but you take him to the LFS and he will talk your ear off about what he has in his tank. I can hardly get a word in sometimes. Ok thread hi jack over.

I was working out of town and gat a phone call. As of today the rose is doing great and healed right up. Good luck with it and hope it heals up quickly.
