  1. Where does it need to go? I think I am close to Bob and have a truck so not a problem if it is close to the Metro area for delivery. Just let me know if this can be worked out. Scott
  2. Welcome to the board! It looks like you are getting a good start anymore updates? And also 80 lbs of sand will give you a good 4 inchs I think maybe more. I used 80 lbs I think in my 90 and it is 3 by 2 so you have a little less room. Keep us posted.
  3. Do you have a pic of the orange spotted goby ? Is it a sand sifter or?
  4. Yes Diamond Goby is the only good one I have found. Does not carry sand up in the tank and let it go either. And as stated buy Reefisher they will under mine any and every rock you have. I have one in my sons tank keeps the sand nice and white but does like to tip the small stuff over if you give him enough time. Also found out the hard way he can get a sexy shrimp in his mouthDOH!
  5. Yes it is Scotts place. And as Ryan stated it is a home with tanks in the basement. I was there during the summer and he had just got a new frag tank set up and looked like many other irons in the fire. So will be interesting to see what it looks like now.
  6. Jay, I asm in Vancouver also and water before the unit is almost 90 on the meter. After it filters through I get a reading of about 2 to 3 so I do not think you are in any danger.
  7. I might so count me as a half(laugh)
  8. I still have mine we just need to get together on a weekend if we can. Just let me know what your schedual is.
  9. Jay where in Vancouver are you? I am on the east side and have a TDS meter you can use to see if it reads the same as yours. I have the exact same RO unit and it has worked flawlessly for the past 6 months.
  10. I love my six line. It has not bothered a thing in the tank that I know of. Everyone seems to get along just fine.
  11. Question is does it work? I made one like that out of the magnets you got a while back. It would hold a few frags but not as many as stated in the add for that one. And I think I used three magnets on mine.
  12. Mine fluctuates alot but it has been that way for the life of the tank and everything seems to like it. Have seen it as low as 75 and as high as 80 on the warmer days.
  13. Yes just like Chewie said and also Cuda has some good advice. I hooked mine up in my laundry room and put the container in the laundry sink. And yes I have forgot about it a few times(laugh) Or you can hook the unit up to a big container with a built in shut off that way the uni will just shut down when the water gets to the top. After reading you link that unit has an auto shut off built into it. So you could use a float valve to trigger it.
  14. The magnets were covered in plastic. The tank was a 29 so the glass was only a 1/4 inch thick. Also no supports and it worked great for what I wanted to use it for. What size is your tank?
  15. What is lacking? All you need is a water source and a drain. Just look around there should somewhere to hook it up.
  16. Hey thanks for the pics and no where in your post did I see a sponge bob listed(whistle)
  17. How big of a tank are you using it on? Or should I say how thick is the glass? Also how many frags are you looking to stack on it? I built a rack for my sons tank with some magnets that were purchased on a group buy here on the board. It worked pretty good but could not hold alot of frags. I think it was roughly 6 inchs by 10 inchs.
  18. Like I said before I can help anyone who wants a metal stand. It does not really cost that much to build one. The powder coating will eat up a few dollars if that is the way you want to travel. The only reason I have a wood stand is I got a smokin deal on my wood one. Otherwise it was going to be steel with a wood skin. Also if the only metal stand you have ever seen is Izzypops then yes I can understand why you think it is expensive hell I think his would hold up a Mack truckDOH! Plus the tank(laugh) It is a real nice stand.

You just have to do it the right way. Hell I picked a sailfin out of my sons tank and it was full of rock and everything else. Does it eat food or ? if so just feed the tank and then try to catch it.
  20. I also have a 36" 8 bulb Tek Light with legs. LMK

I have been running my bigger tank with a 8 bulb Tek Light and love it. My corals are growing not real fast but they are growing. Would like to run MH but do not want a big canopy or anything hanging over the tank.

The wrasse is probably just hiding in the sand. They love to bury themselves during the day. Probably is just hiding give it a little time to get used to the new surroundings.
  23. I use one to check mine every once in a while. I got mine at Waves.
  24. Might be able to help you out. I have a friend who is doing a remodel out in the Gresham area not far from you. Pm me a number again as I lost it long ago and will see what he has in mind.
