  1. I think it all depends on what you want. You can build one or just buy a tank and put dividers in it yourself. If you are on a budget I would just get a tank and put baffles in it they work great. Are you wanting to set up a fuge under there to? There are a bunch of options to choose from. Good luck!
  2. That sucks was the breaker tripped or just human error on the AC not being on? Not a good way to get rid of the nudis but I guess it will work:eek:
  3. Looks good so what are the specs as for sump and all that good stuff. See you have some Koraleas in there how do you like them and what size are they? I have a Tunze in my smaller tank and am debating on getting a bigger on or those for my 92. Also what lights are you running on it? Keep the pics coming.
  4. You can get rubbermaid type containers at Lowes and HD that are made to be ponds. They come in differant shapes and also have ones that are made to be waterfalls. When I made mine I used the rubber liner and did not have a problem. It allows you to make alot more shapes and also depths to the pond. If you are going to have fish you need a deeper spot in there for them to hide. Also if using a liner put some carpet in the hole to act as a shield for the liner. I ended up filling mine in and going with a bubbling rock. I could not keep my 2 year old at the time from jumping in it and throwing every toy he had in there(laugh)
  5. I asked the same to Joel at waves and he said two sandsifting gobys might not get along. I know my Diamond goby is a sandsifting machine. The sand changes daily thanks to him. You never know they might get along if the other one does not sift the sand.Good luck!
  6. Ok to many beers and have to give you s**t(laugh) P town is up from you not downDOH! Remember the tank is in Portland not Corvallis. If someone wants it from out of town let me know and I can pick it up.

SWF had them a few weeks ago. There were 2 in there but they are gone now. I think Patrick can get them for you anytime.
  8. Nice looking set up how long has it been running? Also what are the dimensions on that tank? I really like the bigger tank only problem is filling them. I know my wife would kill me if I had a tank that size. You spent how much for that(wife) what were you thinking.
  9. Am interested in the green with purple rim and orange with the palys.

    New Tank

Well am doing that tonight:D Thanks for the mesh! Have a whole bunch of stuff to do to the tank. Bought some lights for inside the stand and also am going to wire in a switch to turn all power off to the pumps so I can feed the tank and not have it run into the sump. Also got a few green chromis to throw in there to aid in cycling the tank. SWF has them for 2 bucks each(rock2) hell that is cheaper than the damsels and they are a much better fish. Will post some pics when I get it done this weekend have a bunch of stuff to do.
  11. Holy s:eek:t that is one sweet looking skimmer(rock2)

    New Tank

Ok here are the pics of the rock. Got the rock real cheap so will wait for the coraline to grow. But I do like the rock and the caves will be nice for lower light corals. Enjoy and tell me what you think(whistle)

    New Tank

Well here are a few pics the tankis real cloudy from stirring things up. I think I have it the way I like it now. Sand bed is about 1 1/2 to 2 inchs thick so hopefully that will work. I have more sand but like the way it looks now. So here are a few pics of a cloudy tank and also a few frags that I picked up from Jody whikle I was in Medford. They will be going into the new tank when it is done cycling. Can not wait to get the Duncans in there.

    New Tank

Well got the rock kind of in it but not real happy with the way it looks. Am going to try a few other ways and see if I like it better. Once I get it moved around will snap some shots and see what you think. Trying to do this on a bare bottom tank is a pain I kind of need the sand to see what it looks like. I am real bad when it comes to these type of things. Plus am way to picky the wife told me just throw it in there and see what you want to change. Wish it was that easy(laugh)

    New Tank

Well ended up buying a RO-DI unit and am in the process of filling it up. It is about 3/4 full so will be doing a little aquascaping on Sunday. Hopefully will have it running by Sunday night and will also post a few pics if it is not to cloudy from the sand.
  17. Ok am looking at a controller what do you run and how do you like it? Am looking at the AC JR and the RK2 might even look at the original RK kind of like it. Anyway let me know what you think. Thanks!
  18. If you are in Medford look up Tidalzone. They are local to you and have lots of things to look at plus a few things that are not so common.
  19. Another option if you want ont is a sandsifting goby. My son wanted a Diamond goby and I swear he has CAT on him somewhere. He moves more sand than a buldozer. Only bad thing is anything on the sand bed is fair game he will bury anything and also likes to undermine things. Other than that a great little fish. He does not bother the snails in the sand either. My sand stays nice and bright white all the time. Just another option good luck!
  20. James will build it sent you a pm.
  21. Well just got back from a wasted trip for work but a good trip for tank stuff(clap) Picked up about 10 or more frags from Jody. They are all opened up and looking great in my tank now. If you are down that way look him up A+ guy and looking forward to getting some other things. \ Thanks!
  22. You can get the Spaflex at Parkrose hardware and also from Patrick at Fantaseas. I think PRH also has 1 1/2 in just the plastic cheaper hose to. They also have all the barbed fittings that you need. Plus they are right across the street from Fantaseas just another reason to go there(rock2) Good luck with the plumbing I just finished my big tank and did my sons a while ago. How are you going to drill the holes? Do you have a bit? If not pm me I can set you up.

    New Tank

Well the wife surprised me tonight and said lets get the tank in the house(clap) After moving a few things around it is in place. Now if she just likes the placement we are set. Hopefully when I get back in town I can fill it again and get things going. Am heading to Medford to do a job and while I am there saying hi to Jody and picking up a few things:D Will post some pics when I get back it is late and am leaving at 4 am tom.
  24. Heading down that way next week so we will see(clap)
  25. I think Joel at waves has a used one in his pile of used stuff. Give him a call tom and see. Also what size are you looking for?
