I think I had that light 6 inchs off the top of my sons 29. You can always adjust it up or down so just try it and see what happens.

Most of the Welding supply stores will just swap out the bottle. But if your bottle is old and out of date no you will need to buy a new one and go from there. In the weldinig industry most all tanks that are 4 foot and smaller are considered owner tanks. I buy a bottle the first time then just pay for the gas after that. When I run out they just bring me a filled one and swap it out. This way the stores can keep the newer bottles in the supply chain and weed out the ones that are going out of date. As for gas they have almost any kind you can think of in a small bottle like the CO2 I have oxygen and ac. plus also a small bottle of nitrogin that I use.

Go to Quimby welding over in Portland. If you take 205 over to Lombard it is right after 82nd av. They are even open on sat. to. I deal with them for supplys for my shop and they are pretty easy to deal with. I know Patrick at SWF has used them.

I use a piar of dikes to cut mine all the time. You will lose one square but you are going to get that know matter what way you go.

Well am taking it down and going with a smaller tank. Have sold almost all the livestock and have a few left. Am going to do a Oceanic Cube and have mostly corals and a few inverts. Just bought a pair of mis bar black clowns today for cheap and so far they are doing great. Also hit Waves and could not resist these guys. Hell Jordan even threw in the starfish(laugh)

That set up you are talking about is nice. I looked at it today but is big for what I am setting up. Also nice avatar is it a male or a female? I have one to but he is real leg happyDOH! Glad it worked out and was only the bulb that was bad. Like I said now get some pics of the tank(whistle) Also how does that bulb look? I was worried it would be to white.

Emeralds can be weird I have had one die and the others just keep on moving around the tank. I used to have a few in my 90 one did die but not sure why. The others are still alive and doing great. As for the bubbles maybe there is a small hole in one of the lines. Bubbles in the system means there is air getting in there somewhere. Just need to find out where they are coming from.

Well glad to here the goby is doing good. I kind of miss him to but not the sand storm(laugh) And got the last of the glass tonight so will be puting it all back together tom. Would have done it tonight but beer and pizza were alot better than working with silicone and glass:D

12 gallons are great and yes you can have some softies in there with a fish. My sone has one with a few shrimp a fish and some softies and everything looks great. As for skimmer if you do weekly water changes you should not need one. Only thing I did on my sons was ditch the stock pump and put in a bigger one it helps with the flow. Also ditch the bio balls in the back and put in some LR or just do cheato in there instead with a little light. There are a couple of differant set ups you can get also. Good luck!

Hell I am new to granted 10 yrs ago when I was into it a clam was real spendy and there was no internet to go to either. I have just recently got back into the hobby and when I bought my clam at the LFS 50 dollars was alot so treated it like gold(laugh) Although I think it is at least a 100 dollars everytime you go to the store.

This worked for me in my sons tank with some Zenia. I put a little pc of rock next to it and a few weeks later pulled it off. It ripped the xenia but came back strong.
