Gone to Newreefer!

Doing great and ate like a pig last night. Now it is king of the nano since the other goby a antenna goby is smaller than it.

I think he is still around but has had a new owner for a few months now. I think the new ownser is a friend of Jays. Still have the same great employees though(clap) Have not met the new owner but look forward to it someday.

Well took down my sons 29 today and pulled everything out of the tank and scooped all the sand into a bucket. Sucked all the water out of the tank and sump and left it for a while to watch football (go GREEN BAY!) Well after about 3 hours of things sitting there pulled the stand and sump out side and showed it to Nanoreefer who got a few fish today. Decided to clean it all out and was getting ready to hose it out and noticed a clump in all the crap that was sitting in there. Well about 3 months ago a twin spot goby disapeared and figured the CUC got it. Well not true the poor thing was still alive and breathing so rushed it upstairs and just tossed it in my sone nano and watched. It did not look good as it went around the tank with the current but it was still breathing then it took off. So far so good will do a feading here in a few and see what happens.

Ok show us some pics(whistle) Glad to see you found a healthy fish. Would love to have one but am afraid they would eat the shrimp.

Am taking down my sons 29 and have about 40 to 50 lbs od sand. Not the suger sand but the next size up think it was #2 argonite. Anyway its free if you come get it otherwise am going to throw it away. It is in a tank with a heater now but will be pulled apart thiw weekend. Am located in Vancouver.

Will get some tom. so far have a torch in there and some zenia weed that he lovesDOH! Also put in his Fire shrimp and he is king of the tank only thing about him is he hides behind the rocks all the time. Als ohave some zoos in there to. Great little tank I love the fact that it is all together and you almost have to add nothing. The moonlights are great also they light up the entire tank.

Have apic of the overflow? Or maybe a link or some dimensions? Maybe we can come up with something.

Is the HOB overflow acrylic? If so drill another hole in it and make 2 drains.

I would go with the bigger pump. I run 1500 through my 90 and it is great. I have my return plumbed through a 4 way pvc with loc line on each end to adjust the flow where I want it. So far has worked perfect. I am not really familiar with the HOB overflows but like Vanz said do a herby on there it will be quiet and works great.

How big are the frags? I just sold a green polyp toadstool and would like to get another smaller one.

No skimmer as of now. Am going to see what happens and go from there. Like I said simple simple simple(laugh) Although it is not turning out simpleDOH! Now I remember how much I love aquascaping(flame) I am to much a perfectionist and want it one way and can not get it to work with the rock I have(scratch) Hopefully it all works out it does not look to bad and have a few frags already in there along with a small CUC.

Your still crazy(nutty) And like I said did not want a open topDOH! Just want to use the KISS theory. Mods are done just did the pump and a few things in the filter boxes. Am going to set up a fuge in one of them and see how it works. Ended up getting it running last night but want to change the rocks around already. Also need to figure out the heater. Looked at it this morning and it was 85(scary) went down to 82 this aftrernoon so trying to get it lower. Will post some pics later.

Ok now have a Remora Aqua C skimmer with Maxi Jet 1200 75.00 obo. PFO 175W MH ballast with a PFO pendant w/attinics in it also 150.00 obo. 29 gallon AGA tank w/custom external overflow just like Impures. Also have nice custom stand and sump only 75.00 obo. Will be home most of the weekend let me know if interested(whistle)

I did say I might have to find one:D But ended up not going that rout and kept the closed top one. Ended up just having to get rid of the Rose anem. I just want something simple he is only 8 and I am the one who has to clean it and do not have time to take care of the bigger one. All he really wants are a couple of gobys and a few shrimp. Well need to finish getting it up and running.

No HQI was just wondering how they mod them for the filters and pumps and stuff like that. I think I have it all fidured out now and am going to get it going tonight or tom night.

I do not want the MH in it. The reason I got one of these was for simplicity. He is only 8 and is just wanting a couple of cool looking gobys and a couple of shrimp. Otherwise I would have bought the 70 HQI version. I really like the fact that it also has a top to help hold in the moisture. Plus it makes the wife happy she was woriied about the other tank with the open top well so was I you never know what a kid might try to put in there(scary)

Selling my sons Rose. He wanted to put it in a Nano but after reading all the bad posts about them he has decided to part with it. So if interested let me know it is stuck to a 10 pound rock so not really wanting to get rid of the rock to. Also this guy is real hardy it has survived a fight with a Tuze and did not split so I think this one is a non splitter also eats silversides 3 at a time if you let it(laugh)Asking 50 bucks let me know if interested. Not really the best of pics and can get another one if interested just let mek now.

Yes basicaly just the normal mods people do have seen to change to a 900 I only have a 12 gal. Also ditch everything and put some LR in the back and also a heater. Only now things migth change again and have to find one with the HQI I did not want one due to an open top. I like the closed top as for less evaporation in his room. But after rading a few things this might not work out for what he wants to do. All he is looking at keeping in it is a his RBTA and a few shrimp. And the stock PC lights in the hood are not recomended for an anemonieDOH! Guess I should have researched a little more. And yes Vanz have checked out that site. Thanks!

Looks like a sweet set up. I just picjed up an Aqua Pod for my sons room today.
