  1. I would be happy to take the tail spot if available. I still work down the road from you so pickup would be easy.
  2. I would love to but not in the cards right now! I did find a suitable replacement that I will use until I can buy an ATI fixture! Thanks for the help everyone.
  3. Sorry I forgot to mention, 24" fixture max. I agree though, Tek lights are great!
  4. I need to pull some of my cheato today, if you need some let me know. I will say that mine has all kinds of life that includes bristle worms and limpets. I don't believe I have anything bad but a quick dip will make sure if you're worried. Let me know, I will probably toss it this evening if nobody wants any. I'm in the Orchards area of Vancouver. Thanks!
  5. I am in need of more spread from my light source because of coral growth and rock placement, and while I would love to purchase a new fixture, that's not in the budget right now. I'm wondering if anyone here has something they might like to trade for my Kessil! I would love to have an ATI T5 fixture but will consider any trades that might fit my needs, I just don't have any money to add right now. So, anyone have a light laying around? Mine is a Kessil 360WE with gooseneck, 90 degree adapter, and VDM module for the Apex. I can provide pics if needed or you are more than welcome to come check the light out in person. Also, if you know anyone local who might be interested, send them my way! Thanks!
  6. There's one with no display up right now on RC for $140 I think.
  7. For what its worth, my Nitrates are always a little high and I have that same buildup in my sump. The one time I cleaned it out, it didn't make any difference in the levels but that's been a while. How is your clean up crew, pretty diverse?
  8. Very nice! Would I have the same issues with this light though? It seems very similar to the Kessil.
  9. I use a flipper, it works very well, I would also like to try the Tunze, everyone seems to love those. I don't think you could go wrong with either.
  10. As my coral continue to grow, shadowing is becoming an issue with my Kessil being that it's a single source light. My tank is a 50 cube 24x24x20 so pretty shallow, plus all my coral are softies or anemone's. I'm looking for suggestions on options to give me more spread and coverage. Im considering T5, those would definitely cover better but not sure I want invest a ton of money in a fixture for my softies! Lol Maybe suggestions on led fixtures you all have had success with. Something other than the few common brands. Anyone have something laying around? Thanks!
  11. I would love to have the Tek light if it's still available.
  12. These are spoken for I believe but I will have more at some point and will bump this when I do. In the meantime, feel free to post up anything you have for those just starting! Thanks

    Wall Hammer Death?

The way it was described to me when I lost my Orange wall, was that they grow from a single head so once a problem starts, you can't just remove the problem head or wack off the bad part. Where with branching, you just remove the bad head or let it die.
  14. I have these two corals I would like to share, if there is anyone new just starting out that would like them you are welcome to them. Only new folks please ???? I'm in the orchards area of Vancouver you would need to pick up. Thanks for looking, as I have more I will post up here. Please feel free to add your own contributions for those just starting to this thread!
  15. Nice to see you back and doing well! I hope 2017 is fantastic for you!
  16. When I saw this on Facebook the other night I was floored! The first thing I thought of was his daughter. Thank you for posting the PayPal link, I made a donation as I can't take any new corals right now but wanted to help. If you speak to his sister again, please give my condolences.
  17. I'm in depending on time frame. I'm dealing with some stuff right now but can pay anytime, pickup might take me a minute.
  18. Yeah unless your tank is large, you might have troubles even with a large population. You really need to have a Fuge or very established rock so the pods can continue to multiply even while being consumed all day every day. Mandarins are machines, they constantly eat and have very small mouths. That said, look on line, you will find plenty of success stories as well as failures. They can be trained but it takes time from what I've seen and most small tanks can't sustain them while that process happens. Good luck, they are rad fish. You will also find that just about every fish we keep eats pods, some more than others but all do.
  19. I had the same issue with my radion, if you look on line there are quite a few people who also have. Ecotech never was able to give me an answer and once it corrected itself, it didn't do it again. My lights were coming on at like 4 am ????
  20. I have an oceanic 30 tall you can have for free. Holds water and is pretty large.
  21. Ohhh I like that! How long did it take to form branches? I think moving mine back to my tank will help them, more poop for them!
  22. Normally I wouldn't either, but I have never added any chemicals or fertilizers to the container and have always flushed the water completely or close to it when I top it off. The container being as full as it is, it looks worse than it is. The container was also new when they were added and most of the gravel was as well. My tank is pretty well established so I feel confident it will be fine. I will be adding a carbon reactor to the tank this week also, just in case.
