  1. Take advantage of the $100 off ea Extreme with ReeFiLove promo now. The promo will likely end after this holiday season as I'm gearing to go-to multiple Reef-A-Palooza and Macna next year. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  2. I'm ex-Intel microprocessor design engineer and now full time ReeFi engineer and entertain my almost 3 yr old intern. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  3. I've purchased 6 3D printers total. My latest are the Artillery X1 are by far the best I've own. They are super silent with AC heated bed. Unfortunately, the only complaint is they did not include auto bed leveling sensor. However, their glass beds are the flattest of the other printers. For piece of mind, I installed a BLTouch sensor to enable auto bed leveling for $25 and using existing wirings which means I removed the LED light. They are under $500 plus having larger print area 300mm x 300mm x 400mmH. PLA sticks to print bed much easier for things that are not submerged but I think even submerged, it'll still out last our lifetime. ABS with large continuous first several layers will tend to warp and requires heated bed at 80-100C. I use glue sticks to coat the print bed first and make PLA/ABS stick much better to the point I can turn off heated bed to be more green. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  4. Free to anyone that will use an elliptical machine if you can pick it up today or tomorrow in Hillsboro. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  5. A friend left an elliptical machine that he got from Costco with us when he moved to CA. Maybe he was hinting that I need to get back in shape?? Well, I need the garage space so if anyone interested, let me know. I'll ask him how much he wants for it. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Major firmware v3.0 released with lots of new features and updated UI and over 30KB of new codes. That's almost 50% more codes from v2.xx. Still a few more new features in the pipeline. https://m.facebook.com/groups/365634897693359?view=permalink&id=430185394571642
  7. Anyone ready to sell their Harlequin shrimp?
  8. Looks like I'll miss another great $10 sale and to admire Holly's beautiful tanks.
  9. If you're looking for premium reef lighting, check out my ReeFi Duo Extreme. 50% more LED diodes than Radion XR30w g4 at 35% lower cost. https://www.reefi-lab.com/reefi-led-duo-info/ https://www.facebook.com/reefilab Let me know if you have any questions.
  10. I've contacted Dana Riddle when I was in Atlanta. We met up for reef chat at a LFS my brother shopped often. From web search and previous macna talks, I know he has research experiences in coral lighting with lab grade equipments. From my request, he was willing to do his independent review and testing without fees. I've only contacted a handful of YouTubers. Most do not respond. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  11. I agree... I would think they would be happy to review new products to keep and grow their viewer base. I always thought they get paid from YouTube ads. Thank you John. I appreciate you and Andy helping answer questions on the forums and help spreading the word out. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  12. So, I got in touch with an influential reef equipment reviewer to possibly do review on ReeFi Duo Extreme. However, there's a catch... I need to pay for sponsorship video which is significant enough that I would have to end the ReeFiLove ($100 off) promo.
  13. Dana Riddle have posted some PAR and spread for the ReeFi Duo Extreme. "PPFD of Reefi Extreme taken with an Apogee MQ-510 quantum meter. Treat your self to a great light for Christmas. I have data from other depths and will post soon." https://www.facebook.com/groups/ReeFiLove/permalink/417160879207427/ https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/interesting-new-led-light.640820/page-10#post-6688000 Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  14. Just add another tank and plumb it to your existing sump. This way you can leverage your existing tank and start adding more corals and fish. I'm on my fourth tank. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Yes.. I will add 2040 wall mount option to my website soon. I was going to do tank mount but then thinking it was too much hassle to route out square cut outs on my splash guard rim and then it just came to me that I can use wall anchors and mount on the wall. When can I set you up with ReeFi Duo Extremes on your tank? Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  16. I finally took down the 4 bent conduit pipes as light stands. They look nice with pendant style lights but not ideal for the new ReeFi. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  17. Any structures you put in the sand could damage fish trying to hide in it or sifting clean it. Also when the sand get loaded with detritus and you need vacuum clean it, good luck. To me, seems like a huge risk for very little return. Maybe you can just cement the entire sandbed and slope to your liking. Then you don't have to worry about sand need cleaning. A little off topic... If the house is still being built, maybe add a few light tunnels to get sunlight in between your MH. That would be different and interesting to see. Or add a bunch of solar panels to see how much reef equipments can run on solar. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  18. I only got the SQL logging to work again at 2am on 10/24/2019. So the graph only had 10hrs of data. Here's more data set with 1.5 days worth. Got some weird pH drops last night.. I think that's when I unplug the pH probe last night when I was testing an idea during my insomnia. I think my pH is some what stable because I'm running ATS lights at 20hrs duration to fight dino outbreak.
  19. I think it's just anti-caking agent. I use 3D printed skimmer kit for jebao as mixing pump. I get a some brown skim foams from fresh mixed saltwater. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  20. Here are my logging info from last night. Temp drops slowly but haven't cross the 76F threshold. As the day time house temp goes up, tank temp creeps up. I guess as we get colder daytime weather, tank heater will kick in. We have the house night temp set higher at 69F and daytime at 70F. When I had the tank temp at 78F before, yes the tank heater is on very frequent, but drop the tank min temp to 76F, then tank heater hardly turns on.
  21. Was that guy the engineer for the MP40's? He probably just had a few pallet loads of MP40 sitting in his garage. Got the SQL logging ported over to the new controller. Here's 3 data set for testing. It should start auto logging every 10mins.
  22. If the red bugs move alot, you can try photo stacking to auto remove red bugs. ;-) Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
  23. If you need Interceptors to treat red bugs, I have some. However, the treatment will kill off your shrimps, pods, and crabs. If the initial dose doesn't kill off the shrimps, they don't make it after the next molt. When I had red bugs, I notice very little SPS growth. If you're still getting good color and good SPS growth, then maybe it's not worth killing off most of the pods with Interceptor.
  24. I'm heating my tank by my love. haha I did type "return pumps" and not "a pump"... I have 4 return pumps (2 jebao 12000, 1 jebao 8000, and 1 jebao 4000) that get water back to 4 tanks and to the ATS. I also have 6 wave pumps spread out over 4 tanks. I think my ATS lights heat up the water a bit as well since the lights press against the ATS box, and the ATS is a closed acrylic box to help keep it quiet. My controller only turns the heater on if temp drops below 75.8F and heater is off when temp is above 76.2F. Yesterday we got some sun and my house temp went up to 73F during the day, and tank temp was 78.2F when I looked. I don't have a graph at the moment. I'm re-coding my controller and porting it to the new microcontroller and new wifi module. I'll probably have the SQL logging ported over later tonight and should start logging data to my server.
