Yea.. My wrasse or cucumbers flipped a frag in the sand bed when I out of town. It was one I really like... Actually I really like all of them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

Maybe we can get a group buy discount going? Wonder how many tanks to get discount. I've been looking into Reef Savvy but they are pricey. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

My long spine urchins are getting a bit big for my tank. Did realize they can grow so fast. I think they are pretty cool. Who has a large tank they can graze on? My wife has been eyeing them...might become uni. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

Was the concrete block preformed or did you pour it in the crawlspace? I want to reinforce my floors so I can upgrade my tank. Any tips? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

Very nice! Did you reinforce the floor yourself or did you use a contractor? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

Do you have a pH probe to see if it had drop since the sandstorm? If it is low pH issue, add some Kalkwasser (mix in fresh water then let it settle then add clear solutuon) to bring pH back up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

2 weeks of heavy feeding = almost a pint of algae. Can this be considered organic algae? Maybe I can bake it into algae chips to next organic farmer's market. ;-) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

I used to use 48" 8 T5 switched from MH. I was never impressed with it because it didn't have the light shimmer of MH and maybe 24" high tank is too high for it. After a first round of bulbs changing, I decided to run it bulbs longer to save some money. Lost lots of corals and clams which may or may not be all due to lower light output. This time around, I went with LEDs. The main deciding factor was cost. I really liked the idea of practically zero on going cost and lower electric bill. First 8 months, I burned and stun growth with too much light. At the time, I didn't know I was giving the coral too much light but I felt some of the LEDs I see at LFS was so too weak. After much tweaking, I decide to increase the light hours but have very slow sunrise and sunset, plus quickly cycle cloud coverage, and 2 hours super intense peak. I figured somewhere in there, I would surely hit the sweet spot for any of my corals without burning them. Been doing this for last 10 months or so. Sps are happy and I still had to move some LPS in more shaded areas. Mushrooms are just surviving...probably still too much light for them. Just borrowed the club's par meter, would be interesting to get some readings. Unfortunately, we're not getting any clear sunny noon days anytime soon to calibrate it to the sun. The manual mentioned up to 5% drift per year. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

After almost 2 weeks, I starting to see a very slight green fluorescent color at night with just the royal blues. PE are much more visible as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

I have some sps that have really taken off, a few that grow a little, and this one with no growth for a year. A month ago, I moved it from my rock to the sandbed and bam, got two new shoots. A Goniopora took it's old spot and is loving it. Anyone else have corals with no growth for a long time and start growing as soon as you moved it? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

Hmm.. Looks like I might be already disqualified. :( I've already changed to a clean plug as my dip process for all new additions before going in my tank. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
