  1. Potential buyer backed out, so it's back on the market.
  2. I have plenty. If you come to the meeting this Sunday you can have it. Or if you find someone who can bring it back to you.
  3. So would then go for Oak on the doors? and hemlock on the trim?
  4. What a great idea rofl Do they have ready to assemble pop up kits? I am so there!! (clap) So I am finishing the plumbing today and hopefully will be able to get this project back on track. After reef165 and Robz stopped by this Sunday and gave me their input, I decided to move the tank further inside the room and closer to a bearing wall. This will create a larger back room to work in. The door will still be on the right side and the tank will be enclosed with wood the same way that James suggested it on Paul's tank above. So I will build cabinet doors (anyone want to help me with that? (naughty)) within the wood panels above and below the tank, I was looking at wood at HD but could only find Oak. Rob you suggested Hemlock, where can I find that around town? Parr Lumber?
  5. 270 Gallon Acrylic tank Tank with Metal Stand and canopy The tank is 6 feet long x 2 feet Tall x 3 feet deep. Great depth sensation. Comes with a metal 32" tall stand , and canopy . The canopy has an oak finish , it has two 5 inch fans that keeps good ventilation above the tank. The tank has two overflows in the corners and 6 holes for close loop options. Almost all fittings and plumbing have been replaced with new ones. I have a 100 gallon sump negotiable. I also have two 3/4 inch boards cut to size to go on top of the stand. I just got this tank a few weeks ago and cleaned it up and the stand has been repainted, added new adjustable legs. I was in process of setting it up for an inwall, but after discussion with my wife, she'd like a taller tank (30 inch instead of 24) go figure! (scratch). So this is one of those few times I'll have to agree with her and try to make this happen while I can DOH!. I paid more than what I am asking, but can live with the loss. I am asking $1400 for it (which is well below what it's worth). I am also putting this for auction for 1 week from the time of this posting so that if everyone wants to bid more than $1400 I'll give the difference to the club . The tank is also listed for $1600 on craiglist but thought I would give a chance to members to get a great deal and at the same time contribute to this club. I am especially hoping that the proceeds would go toward the tank for teachers project . If it does not sell I'll probably just set-it up and keep it as this is a beautiful set-up. After a good clean it looks almost new. This tank is ready for plug and play. here is the stand And the tank on it's side after cleaning Tank with new stand Here is a view of the canopy
  6. Thanks Garrett that would be great! I would think shipping would be cheaper than Gas. I'll save another trip to come and check out your set-up though
  7. Anybody has a VHO end cap for sell/trade?
  8. As described in the title, I am looking for a good working skimmer for about 350 gal or more. I would be willing to buy or trade. I have an ETS skimmer (rated at 250 Gal) that is working wonders on my 200 Gal.
  9. Nick, thanks those would be great . Preferably things that work and are reliable are what we need. heaters, lights pumps and skimmers are needed. Are the HO ballasts wired as well? The 10 gal sumps tanks could also be used , are they drilled? Sand and rubble will be good too. Thanks
  10. Hey on, Would you have any interest giving some of what you have left for the "Tank for Teachers" project? I believe pumps, heater etc.. are needed more details here Thanks
  11. I have 2 soft rubermaid container (about 70 Gal each) that you are welcome to borrow. I have used them to do just what you are doing and other things, such as holding water and rock etc.... I am in SW Portland about 10 min North from Reefgeek so up to you. I'll be around this week-end so you are welcome to stop by. 503-297-5672
  12. What we need Ok so reefgeek got rid of his small nano. So we are starting fresh with Lowman's 45 G tank. What are the dimension Bob? So we are looking for donations as follow: Lights (Maybe fluo to start with, upgrade to MH eventually later if needed) Sump (if it has a refugium compartment even better) Heater Rock thermometer Fish food Live stock (Easy starting fish) Skimmer or filtration system Salt DI Water system Electrical power strip Timers for lights Probably some plumbing (valves, tubing, or PVC) Anything else? feel free to step up with what you have that may help
  13. Yes you are correct he did. We are talking about a 24 nano (plug and play) that he also has/had (the all in one type of tank)
  14. Nothing more than what has been posted. I need to check once more with Reefgeek if his offer on his cube is still standing. It's on my list "to do". If this does not pan out we can keep soliciting for all the parts needed to complete Bob's tank.
  15. Just saw a short part of it on the Chinese Mine and pollution of the river with higher incidence of cancer down the stream. Scary! Thought it was quite interesting. Seems pretty objective too. Surprising for a CNN program.
  16. Sounds really cool. How is the stand coming along? Is the tank set-up?
  17. Can't see your "Masterpiece" Vanz , but keep them coming. Geeting a good pool of choices will make the selection much more worth it. Even bad designs are helpful to realise what we do not want.(naughty)
  18. Jay , this is spectacular, It looks fabulous (clap), so since I am a couple of stages before where you I can probably learn a lot from you. What kind of molding did you use around the tank? Is the tank flush with the wall? What a bummer you have to take the tank down, but it looks like it will be an easy trip to your car!(laugh)
  19. We got some incredibly colored Acans from Reefdoctormicromussas.com with the help of Reefgeek who took care of the entire transaction. The frags were of an incredible value and the colors are even more spectacular than what is posted on his website. Thanks reefgeek for handling the transaction for us flawlessly and keping us updated on the status of the transaction, shipping and delivery! Awesome
  20. It was great meeting you. Keep us posted on your progress. Pictures pictures...
  21. Oops sorry that's the one I meant to post.
  22. Did this in literally 5 min. Pretty busy but just adding a contrast to other choices
