  1. Holy blast from the past.  Just a little backstory.   I had just finished my 3 year presidential run and was stepping down.  A guy named Kevin if I remember correctly took over as President.  Not long after he started he hacked the site, deleted everything and replaced the website with a xxx picture.  I can’t even recall why he did it.  We had a very recent backup and got the site back up in a couple of hours.  Kevin disappeared and Kris stepped up and became President.  It was very touch and go before Kris stepped up.  There were even talks about dissolving the club.  Thanks again for being there when the club needed you.

I’m still around.  Still behind the scenes.  Not as active as I used to be, but still trying to keep this club afloat.

  2. The new officers will begin their rolls on July 1st.   No elections were necessary this year as we had just enough volunteers to cover the positions.  Here are your Officers.

    President                        Lexinverts

    Vice President              Yourmedic

    Secretary                         Jtichenor

    Treasurer                          SuncrestReef

    Vendor Relations           Kerbash

Please join me in Congratulating our new Officers.   It takes good people to keep this club afloat.   I appreciate all of the time and effort all of our past and current officers have put in to keep this club running and thriving.  Board Member Nominations are going to open on May 15th.  If you would like to dip your toes into what makes this club great, please let an officer know.   They would love to nominate you.   If you are interested and want to know what the position entails, please reach out to our current Board Members.

Thanks again to all the Volunteers in our Officer and Board positions.   Without you, there is no PNWMAS.

  3. Nominations are now open for the 2022-2023 PNWMAS Officer Positions.   Only paid members can access the PNWMAS Members forum to nominate new officers.

It takes volunteers to keep this club running.   Do you have what it takes to be an officer of the club.   Do you like planning and organizing?   Maybe you are good at taking notes.   Maybe you are good with numbers.   Maybe you have a good relationship with our vendors.  All it takes is a little time and effort.   If you have any questions, please ask the current officers about their roles.

You can be nominated by another supporting member or you can nominate yourself if you are a supporting member.

This club does not run itself.   Be a part of another successful year.   Without you there is no PNWMAS.

I want to thank the current Officers and Board for all the hard work they have put in and will put in until June 30th.   It has been another great year.

I personally want to thank the volunteers that have helped this club to endure a global pandemic.  Without a good solid leadership this club cannot grow and prosper.

We were hitting our stride before covid hit.   Maybe we can see the fragfest come back.   The last meeting shows that this hobby is still strong and we have a great community.

Good luck to all the nominees.

  5. Welcome.  I’m just down the road in Creswell.  A soon as I am done battling some hair algae, I’ll look you up for some coral.  You might want to get some information on sponsoring the club.  With sponsorship you get your own forum that you can post regular stock, special deals, etc.

Lexinverts is our current Vendor Relations officer, but any of the officers could probably get you the info you need to sponsor if you want to.

I’m glad you found us.  Emerald Valley’s coral retailers are sparse.

  6. It's that time again.   Only paid members can run for office and vote.

This was probably one of the most challenging years we have ever faced as a club.   I think our current Officers and Board deserve recognition for keeping us up and running during the pandemic.  This coming year, we should see things opening up and there will be opportunities for events, meetings, and getting back to a bit of normalcy.

I hope some of our Officers will want to run again.   I am excited about some new volunteers.   Good luck to all of the nominees.

Your $50 purchase gives you 27 tickets (25 +2 free), but as a Supporting Member you also get 2 free tickets.  Would you like those additional 2 tickets towards the Gyre as well, or a different item?

    All for the gyre
