  1. I really like the SB Reef lights, I believe they're having a sale now on the Pros (with timers built in) for $299, you can order a 32" Pro (I have this one) for about $330 including shipping, they have a two year warranty which I really like and they have a Facebook page for people with the lights for questions, troubleshooting etc and I believe one of the owners of the company is on there regularly to answer questions. One of the 32" are rated for up to a 120 gallon with heavy SPS and clams but you could definitely use one for an even larger tank with mixed reef. They also have 16" lights for under $200 if you need two or three it will still be in your budget. They also have the Ultra 45" for $699 for really large tanks. I absolutely love this light, I bought it never intending to use the Moonlights but now they're one of my favorite features, the purple color is stunning. I've had mine almost a year and my corals are loving this light and everything looks great in that tank. I will most definitely be buying another for my other tank when it's time. Believe me I understand having a budget, Ocean Revives are great too, mine lasted years Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  2. If Higher thinking passes I can pick it up this weekend Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  3. Funny you mention that a lot of people will fail to do maintenance in a tank that's too tall to reach anything in, I was having the same issues and one of my tanks was suffering because of it. My husband brought me home a step stool and problem solved lol. I just keep it in my closet and pull it out when needed, it's a life saver since grabbers are handy but there's still a lot grabbers can't do and sometimes you need to pull your sleeves up and get in there manually. By the way I love the idea of a Rock Flower tank, I've had that idea myself but haven't been able to convince the husband it's an awesome idea, go figure [emoji848] I love to see the look on his face when I show him ads of tanks for sale, or a fish or coral I want to buy. All I have to say is *guitars* because he thinks my hobby is expensive but his guitars and all his music equipment cost waaaaay more than I've spent lol Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  4. Wow that pump lasted you a looooong time! A replacement sounds spendy but if they last that long they sound worth it, and a replacement skimmer would likely cost more anyway. I'm glad it worked out for you! Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  5. WOW great deal [emoji106] wish I had the room!! Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  6. Still looking for BTA'S, especially trying to find a green one but open to all colors. Also looking to buy this weekend Elegance Coral, Mushrooms, (orange, red, multi colored, blue) Duncan, Torch, Pink Hammer coral, Lobos, Open Brain (Welso), Palythoa grandis Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  7. I'll pm you! I believe I've also found another type from R-3, we are working on shipping details but they're a different color than yours so I'll be interested in both his and yours [emoji3] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  8. Looking for a Weeping Willow Toadstool, like the ones pictured, any color. If you have any I'm interested! My daughter shares my love for softies and LPS corals and we are still working on filling it in, we both like the look of the leathers with long tentacles so looking for any colors Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  9. Nice! Curious what this coral is?? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  10. [emoji23] I almost spit out my coffee... Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  11. That sounds right, I remember asking this same question in 2016. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  12. That used to happen a lot with my pink hammers, I never knew exactly why but I recall someone saying it could have been growing another mouth? I can't remember now... Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  13. If it's an internal parasite you might want to try prazipro. We were just discussing this exact situation on a Facebook page, someone recently bought a Clown with white stringy poo that turned out to be internal parasites, treated with prazi. Another had a female Clown with them so bad she quit eating and after treatment is doing much better. I'm no expert on the subject (like, at all) but it's something you might want to look into Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  14. [emoji50] why is it that I never thought of that after all this time [emoji23] that's actually a great idea Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  15. I've personally only ever noticed film on my salt barrels, and that was with certain brands. I switched to Coralife salt and haven't had that problem since. I never noticed any film in my freshwater reservoirs, but I use kalk though now in my ATO's and so of course now I have a white film... I try to clean all about once a month or so. 16. I'd be happy to ship you a few again but it would probably have to be after the restrictions are lifted, I have some nice zoas I was going to frag, mushrooms, Toadstool frags, Kenya tree frags, probably some others. I have Xenia but I heard it doesn't ship well. I don't remember what I sent you last time, I'd be happy to do the same as before, just pay shipping and a couple$ more or whatever [emoji16] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  17. I have an Eheim Auto feeder that I don't use, excellent condition works perfectly, easy to program to feed however many times a day you want and how much you want. I believe I even have some spare parts for it including a stand and a spare food reservoir thingy, I'll have to take a look. Will trade for some corals, especially consider trades for bubble tip, Rock Flower Anemone, Duncan coral, Trumpet coral, Red Mushrooms, Orange Mushrooms, Blue Mushrooms, small Yellow Tang, small Blue Tang, Marine Betta (for either a yellow or blue Tang or Marine Betta I could probably throw cash on top of the trade) Torch, Hammer, located Forest Grove, let me know what you have to trade area Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  18. Dang wish I saw this earlier Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  19. You're absolutely right about the lighting, and I think everyone has had aptasia at one time or another so no worries [emoji4] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  20. A 90 gallon or 120 gallon would be great sizes to consider! They are both the same length of your 55's, so you should be able to still use your lighting and could always add another Kessil later if you wanted, unfortunately you would likely have to still get a skimmer that could handle a bit larger tank. Maybe you could find someone to trade you for a larger skimmer? That way you wouldn't have to buy one? Or you could sell your skimmer and use the money to buy a skimmer rated for a bit larger tank, I've done that myself. That's why now I always try to buy skimmers that can handle double the size tank I currently have just in case I do decide to upgrade (always seems to happen) but you don't want to get a skimmer that's way too oversized either. In my opinion either a 90 or 120 would be perfect, I love the size of the 90's myself especially. And welcome [emoji4] I'm curious to see what you decide! I'd definitely recommend a 90 gallon or 120Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  21. [emoji23] I don't know the difference between wood bits, spade bits [emoji848] I just had to look it up... I'm going to give it a try today. I have several frags in my sand that need to go somewhere else, turbo keeps knocking them over, this looks like a great solution to try. I've never been a fan of frag racks in my tanks, I do like the magnetic single frag mounts though if anyone has any magnetic single frag mounts they recommend? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  22. I just buy super glue gel from Dollar tree, you get three tubes gel for $1. Regular super glue will run it's too thin Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks [emoji4] I'll just have to find my husband's drill now [emoji16] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  24. Great idea! I've been wanting to drill a few holes in my rocks just for this purpose but I never knew what kind of drill bit to use. I have a lot of these types, are these similar to the ones you used? What size? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  25. Well someone already guessed what I would have said, and all days are said except next Tuesday, so next Tuesday at 8 am... Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
