  1. [emoji50] great job! My husband has been talking about getting a 3D printer but I told him we don't need one but now I think we do, I can think of a few things I could use [emoji848] lol. I looked on those sites you posted for a nem/snail guard for my pump but I couldn't find it, it's not a super common pump like a gyre, nyos or MP40 so I'll probably have to figure something else out. I'll likely settle for those plastic knitting things you get from craft stores cut to size with zip ties for a nem guard [emoji20] you should print these types of things and sell them [emoji2] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  2. Def cyano, know this one too well... Completely went away after started putting kalkwasser in my ATO's, not saying it's a cure for everyone but it worked for me. It was actually an unexpected surprise since I was originally only using it for calcium and ALK! I did the chemiclean thing too but was only a bandaid Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  3. Uh oh! Do you have pics? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  4. This was the toilet paper isle at Walmart yesterday... May have to start dipping into the napkins soon [emoji23] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  5. [emoji23] you know I had a feeling about that, I actually read it over a couple times because my first instinct was that it was a joke after seeing the picture but my pumps had slowed down a lot and coincidentally I had JUST cleaned all mine because they really did slow a lot because I hadn't cleaned them in a while Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the offer I appreciate it! I see you're in Salem though and that's just a bit too far from Forest Grove area thanks though!
  7. Wow that's nice of you [emoji4] can you print nem covers for powerheads? You'd probably need measurements right? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  8. Um yeah! Those are perfect [emoji108] are they at your shop? I'll come by Saturday or Sunday Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  9. Sold Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  10. Looking for two or three peices of live rock, preferably flatter type peices or "shelf" rocks. Also prefer cured but not necessary. Looking to pick up this weekend. Also looking for a couple purple rocks. Let me know location and price, thanks [emoji4] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  11. $30-$35 is a very fair price for them, I think you'll have better luck at that price point. They're beautiful nems, look very healthy. Depending on your location I may be interested in one for a friend's tank, she was just talking about getting one so I'll ask her and let you know. I just recently bought one or I'd be interested for one for myself! Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  12. Wow! That's a tough goniopora, where the heck did you find it? My goby and pistol shrimp were constantly burying things, I could never put frags in the sand or they would end up buried lol. Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  13. Just a quick FYI, you may be asking a bit much for the nems, I think the most I've ever seen them listed here for Roses was $40 for very large ones, usually ~$20-$35 though. Not trying to offend! Just wanted to give you a heads up you may not get much for responses. Good luck 👍
  14. May be a good thing or your nem would be in peices lol! They always seem to go for the pumps right?? I clean all my pumps in citric acid and RO water after seeing it on YouTube a while ago and I've noticed a lot more people using it as well. I cleaned my return pump over the weekend, took it completely apart scrubbed with toothbrush and ran in citric acid water for a few hours and it's like a brand new pump again, I actually ended up having to adjust the rest of the flow in the tank because the flow increased so much just by cleaning the return [emoji16] just try cleaning it! Hopefully your silly lawnmower blenny and nem will stay away from it lol. I love that grumpy face Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk

What an amazing picture! Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  16. I'd save the aqualifter pump if it works, they're handy pumps for ATOs and other things. It looks like there's a return nozzle there too. The skimmer is a tough one, someone may know. I just saw someone post some needlewheel pumps on here for $10 that may work for the skimmer but I couldn't be sure. The Mag Float I'd use too, the heater I'd honestly toss. I toss mine after a year now since I had an older one get stuck in the on position and fry my tank a couple years ago Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  17. Also curious... Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  18. Wow what a difference! If the haziness bothers you, you could always buff it out but it's a sump I wouldn't worry about it but that's me [emoji6] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  19. Oh wow lol. That light is.... Interesting [emoji848] Seems like you have a good idea of what you're doing! You're right a lot of it seems pretty outdated. You'll most definitely need new resins for the RODI, and if everything has been sitting in storage for that long I'd get all new pumps as well. It's nice to salvage what you can though Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  20. It really looks you're off to a great start with a great deal tank! Glad I didn't see that ad lol, I was currently looking for a 90.. my husband may have finally kept his promise about leaving if I bring home another tank and up and left [emoji23]. Anywhoo If you can't find the round top for the skimmer cup you could probably make one. Have you tried the skimmer pump to see if it works yet? The RODI is a plus! If you have any questions about any of this stuff just ask. How do you plan on cycling the tank? I read your plan was to put a fish or two in, so were you planning on using fish to cycle your tank? My first reef tank I used a Damsel to cycle because that's how I always cycled my freshwater tanks was with fish. I no longer use fish though, just go to the grocery store and pick up a couple peices of shrimp to start the cycle instead, then remove shrimp later and 'ghost feed' or drop a pinch of fish flaked food in to complete the cycle until Ammonia and Nitrites are at zero, do a large water change and add my first fish but it's your call. Some people don't like using fish to cycle because the Ammonia can burn their gills but I personally know people who still do it. Did you see a Refractometer in the totes for testing salinity? It would look like this picture. I'd be curious to see what else is in the totes lol. You should snap a few pics of what's in the totes, it's like Christmas [emoji23] you may have some more great stuff in it! Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  21. That's a great size for anyone! Much better than a much smaller tank, I've heard over and over dilution helps with pollution so a larger tank is more forgiving when it comes to the little mistakes we make. The 55 wouldn't have been a bad choice either, believe me I understand about being worried about little ones messing with the tank! When the water, rocks are in I couldn't knock those over, I actually had a 55 when my kids were still pretty young. It looks like you're off to a great start! BRS TV is still a favorite of mine, great information. Like SuncrestReef said though taking it slow when adding livestock is a good thing, I've learned from that one. I also understand how expensive this hobby can be so I tend to look for some things used, RODI I got for a rediculous cheap price used, used tanks, you can absolutely save a little cash this way. I hope you post lots of pictures! I love seeing people's tanks progress Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  22. Your tank never fails to amaze me! I remember seeing it at one year and it looked amazing then [emoji7] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  23. Absolutely! I'll pm you Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  24. What_The_Frag has kindly messaged about some of his PC Rainbow and Tierra Del Fuego frags which I'm going to pick up after he gets back after next weekend. I really like Red Planet Acros if anyone has a healthy frag [emoji3] see I'm learning [emoji23] Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely do that Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk
